Full Eibach Prokit----GET IT!

did you remove the spring isolator (the "sleeve" of extra material on the 1st coil of the factory springs) and install this on the eibach springs, instructions state that these should be retained and used with eibach springs, but I'm not sure these can be easily removed.

The Eibach springs come with its own sleeves.

I've been driving with the springs and front & rear bars for a few weeks and wanted to revise my earlier review. At first I considered it to be really firm, but I think it was just an initial reaction as the contrast from factory to the upgrades were so noticeable. However, now I feel it rides great and can't imagine going back to factory. The car is so much better composed and still feels comfortable and it's not harsh at all.

If you upgrade the springs and you have the adaptive suspension, that still stays in place and is functional, correct?

Yep. You’d only lose that functionality if you went to a coilover setup.

Cool. I haven't even bought mine yet and I'm already wanting better stuff. Still cross-shopping a Golf R, haven't decided yet. It's weird, a $40K Golf R with pretty much zero discount or a $50K GT2 RWD for $40K.

Go on you know you wanna! The Stinger is great value for money

Have you taken into account the expenses of the maintenance services of the Golf?. VW is a brand with the highest maintenance and spare parts prices.....

it absolutely seems like a great value for money, I'm just used to a sportier car, currently driving a 2005 BMW 330ci coupe. The Golf R feels a lot more like what I have, a large-ish luxury sports sedan is new for me.

Yes I am aware. Currently driving a 13 year old BMW so yeah, I know about expensive maintenance and parts. ;)

Today, my trusty mechanic installed the Eibach's springs. He show me the two rear suspension bolts to perform the alignment. He did not touch them to install the rear springs(which does not mean that it do not need to check an alignment). Two hours labor. Previosly, he took car's hight measures and put paint tape on one of the shop walls in order to adjust headlight patterns after the spring install. After a round street trip, he confirm the 0.8" drop height front and rear. But the headlight patterns did not change at all, so none adjustement was required, for now. By the way, the height headlight adjustment is with a cross screwdriver, there is not any nut to do the job in my Stinger GT2 ?????.
IMHO, there was a big suspension performance over speed bumps and taking the highway curves and exits, zero floating behavior, more feel of control.....very happy with this upgrade.....

Which stinger model do you have? Rwd or awd?

For you guys with springs installed, any issues with bottoming out your car when going over speed bumps?

I just had a little rub this weekend. I had my 3 kids in the back, a trunk full of groceries, a big bag of dog food, and hit a hump in the road that caused a slight rub on the right rear. No damage, just a little tire shine on the inner fender.

None. But with the OEM springs, in confort and eco mode for sure

THAT scares the crap outta me. OEM wheels and tires?

No, of course not. You could probably go off reading with the oem setup and and won't rub tire to fender.

Good to know - what wheels/tires/dimensions? Thanks!

This seems like a no brainer mod to have, however, living in the great white north, and driving this in the winter, makes me wonder if this mod would be a good fit.
