Got it...now i am curious if the goof off did cause some kind of reaction! I did use something similar, goo gone, when i did mine but only AFTER i had removed the rear badge via a hair dryer and plastic trim tools. I have no paint issues in that area.I washed the car first, then I attempted to take off the rear badge off. I applied goof off around the emblem and I attempted to remove the red badge using floss.wasnt budging, so I left my car for about a min to get more floss, then I noticed chipping.. thing is I don’t know if the solution dropped all the way down to the end of my hood as well as near my back up camera, cause I’m also having chipping there as well. So I believe it’s a combination of the car wash, the goof off, and the paint adhesion is poor, all that caused my chipping
Very true here. I have an E46 M3, which platform is plagued with bearing failures and oil pump failures, both of which do catastrophic damage to the engine. Items are addressable but not easy nor cheap. Paint chipping i can "live with" for the time being!I would rather have paint issues then electronics and engine issues lol
