Youtuber with a GT2

That's the thousands of dollars question. From what I've been reading on various threads on the forum, the mods have violated warranty six ways to Sunday. In fact, if you break your car "racing", Kia can claim no warranty. They say as much in the manual.

Ok, this is how ignorant information stays alive. For the purpose of this, we will define a "mod" as something other than OEM equipment.

A mod alone CANNOT void a warranty in the USA, period. There is no if ands or buts about it. The ONLY way a "mod" can affect a warranty is if damage occurs that is PROVEN to be the fault of the "mod." Further the manu must PROVE the mod caused the damage. Even further, the dealer/automaker CANNOT blanket void a warranty either. All they can do is deny that particular claim.

There isn't anything ignorant in pointing out that mods that turn the car into a "race car" will put added stress on the drivetrain and engine, etc. Tires that look "cooler" but are differently sized from the recommended tires; ditto wheels; damage caused by "racing", which can derive from a host of events not involving any accidents, etc. I am not suggesting that additions violate warranty categorically. That's ridiculous. Kia actually encourages modifications with this car, actually invites them.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new Stinger! I bought the same color combo and driving around for a couple months now and have been loving it. Gets lots of attention and stares! I’ll be following the channel. Those rims look great......Good luck!
