I got a flat in my wife's Stinger and how the F are you supposed to get those plastic caps off? There was nothing obvious in the tire change kit, jack, tire iron etc. Thank god someone stopped and asked if I needed help and the good Samaritan had a pair of scissors that I was able to use to pry the cap off

If there isn't some tool I missed then JC Kia WTF!

One of the five ends has a slot in it that you can pry up with a flat screwdriver; or so I'm told, I haven't tried it myself or watched anyone take one off.

There is a little slot you can insert a flat head screwdriver and pry it off.

What cap are you talking about? I've had my wheels off in the garage and it was just a matter of raising the car and removing lugnuts.

I am 83% sure this screwdriver is double ended. 1 side is a flat, the other is a Philips #2

^^Thanks. I didn't realize lugnut caps were still a thing.

Thanks to this site, I did learn how to open the front/rear tow hook cover :)

In the photo the "top" of the 5 point cap has a small notch in it to fit a flat head screwdriver in there and pry it off.

Oh god I saw the screw driver phillips head and didn't realize that it could be flipped. Thanks if it ever happens again (knock on wood) at least I know

The slot is in the end above the "I" in the KIA logo if you don't have an aftermarket sticker on it. I would hope though, that the sticker (if any) would have been put on the same direction.

I install the caps with the slot pointed at the valve stem (a la Porsche)

How?

You mean pointed away from the valve?
You can't point it at the valve..

I think I have it on the spoke to the right of the valve, might switch to your method when the summer shoes go on

Another thing I love on the euro wheels, I can get the cap off with my hands.. still has the little notch but I can just grab its end and pop them off with a little effort and no worry of scratches! The con is having way more nooks to clean!

Those wheels were only on the euro GT Line (2.0l). The euro GT came with the same 19" as the american GT.
Interesting, personally I love them and so glad they came with the indigo edition.

I also like them more than the GT wheels. Was one of the few benefits of getting the GT Line, along with the 30x smaller annual tax :D. Yes, Europe is insane in taxing large engines.
