Got a wrap done on my Stinger based on a mockup I've been working on for the last few months.

Overall, I'm happy with how it looks from afar, but I'm bummed about some of the up-close quality.

Some of the parts are no longer flush and the edge trim overall is rough.

Hopefully, the shop can fix these issues it created.

Is this a common issue when wrapping your car or was this just a poorly executed job? This was my first time getting a car wrapped, so I'm not sure if this is common, but hopefully, these are easy fixes and not anything too damaging to the car.

how much did it cost you if you dont mind me asking? cool color choice btw!

I love that color! I’ve been wanting to wrap mine that color since I got it. I can’t justify the cost though. looks great!

From my understanding, the car damn near should be taken apart to do a proper wrap job. Hopefully they can fix those issues, or at the very least told you that was a possibility.

Gotcha.

The only thing I was told was there was no warranty on the wrap since Illinois weather can be unpredictable and that they are not responsible for any paint damages if I decide to take the wrap off myself.

So even though as a whole I like the wrap, the assembly and consistent uneven lines and rough finishes take a lot of wind out of my sails.

the pics actually look good to me. How does it look from say 2 or 3 feet? if it passes that test maybe just enjoy it.

Yeah, the "five to six feet rule" is my yardstick for niggling flaws and details of any sort. If you can walk up to the car and not have your eyes drawn to a flaw/imperfection, then it is good enough.

Just a few images from the album I have. It looks decent from a distance at certain angles, but these rough finishes, mixed with the clear coat scratching issues just sours the entire thing for me.

The shop should resolve all of those issues. No warranty on a $2800 wrap? That seems unusual.

yes, hopefully they take care of you. They almost did really well. That's like an art though and you need someone really experienced to make the job really tight.

2800 actually seems kind of low for these cars, from what I have seen, most places charge over 3k and then some. Looks like they may have been cutting corners a bit, no pun intended.
