Worst speeding tickets of 2018

"Actually, sir, the ordinance requires a 'back rock' on the wheels and a complete stop for at least three seconds." I objected that nobody negotiates stop signs like that, nobody. And he simply handed me the citation. I appealed it before a city judge, who was likewise unsympathetic. That was when I realized that cops in West Jordan are revenue gatherers and I de facto hate all traffic cops around here. I still "stop" the same as always if they are not around; but I look for cops all the time in this town, and I'll never "stop", when one is around, without that "back rock and full three seconds".)

Well, actually the 3 second rule is legitimate. I hate to say this, but in the eyes of a cop if you are willing to roll through a stop sign in front of him...I'm sure he thinks you really "roll" through stop signs.

I always do a 3 second stop. Even if people are honking at me.

Unbelievable. Traffic flow is top priority. If everyone drove like you, we'd get home at midnight, about the time rush hour ended.

Is it 3 then go or go on 3?!?!?!?!?!?! This is silly. I stop per traffic flow.

Jail time likely. Car/bike impounded certainly. A guy on here told his story about passing as soon as he got on the freeway, and when he looked down he was surprised to see 108 MPH and descending. The cop who pulled him over said he was going faster than that, and impounded his Stinger. Of course, I think from the way the story was told to me that the cop had an attitude. But that just increases the danger of bad things happening.

(I once got a ticket for not stopping at a STOP sign: I saw the cop car on the other side of the road as I pulled up to the corner of a "T" intersection, looked both ways, went as slowly as pedestrians do, and proceeded around the corner. He "U" turned, flashed his lights, walked up and told me the evil news. I was seriously annoyed. When I explained my understanding of a functional "stop" to be as slow as walking speed before proceeding, he said: "Actually, sir, the ordinance requires a 'back rock' on the wheels and a complete stop for at least three seconds." I got a ticket for making an unsafe left turn. Here is what happened. I was making a left into a restaurant parking lot. I was in between two yellow lines, there was no one in the left lane of cross traffic, and the front car in the right lane was stopped to let me in. I very slowly made my turn and the car behind the stopped car decided to pass her on the right, in the bike lane, and hit me. See, he was in a hurry to get back to work. Cop asked me one question: how fast were you turning. I said 'like maybe 2 mph, I dont know. Slowly and carefully'. I got the ticket for unsafe left turn. My first accident ever, and first ticket in more than 10 years. That happened less than a year after moving here.

I stop, count to three quickly, and move out when I hit three.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Stock it will do 160 (actual).

My '03 5.4 Lariat FX4 will do (GPS measured) 120. Doesn't take long to get there, but it's not a relaxing experience.
yeah, no way in heck a stock raptor is doing 160 stock. Those things have horrible aerodynamics.

Years ago I was doing about 160 mph at night, a cop pulled out with his lights flashing, then immediately turned them off and turned back onto the shoulder lol.

I'm not saying you should ever, ever run, but if it's at night on a dark section of the interstate and you're doing 140+, they aren't going to have any idea what you're driving and they will never catch up to you. By the time they hit 140, you'll be a mile ahead.

Willing to admit I'm wrong. I may have been thinking of the supercharged "Lightning"..
