Grandma was driving before catalytic converters burst onto the scene in the 1970s. I think she's the last person to be bothered by a little exhaust vapor. If you offend anyone it'll be post-Millenials/Gen Z'rs.

It's cold up here in Canada, and the turbos produce a literal cloud of exhaust when pulling rapidly off the line. Since I've never experienced it as the follow on driver, I'm trying to figure it if it's something that other drivers would consider offensive.

I created a poll, but also interested in your candor on the subject.

Other drivers probably just think your shitty Kia is burning oil.

At -35°C there's not much choice in the matter short of buying a Tesla.

This is the first time in my 40 years of driving that I've ever heard anyone express concern about it being rude - it's just the way it is in a cold climate.

I bought this car largely due to it's performance, which is even more noticeable in the winter. I won't stop enjoying it simply to spare other drivers some condensed vapour. Unless it's dead calm, it doesn't hang around too long anyways.

That's 93.9 cents per liter, so around $4 per gallon. But that's cheap for Canada. Which is actually extremely ridiculous considering there's 4 large refineries within 30 minutes of my house.

People will roll up behind my rebadged GT at the stoplight and you can see them kind of scratching their heads trying to figure out what it is.
Then the light turns green and they continue to sit there in the white cloud looking even more bewildered - LOL
