Window tint

I'm thinking of tinting, living in Florida. Any of you have the auto dimming side mirrors, my concern is with the tint and them dimmed they will be useless.

I guess it depends on the % of tint you agree to get. I have 35% tint and its fine at night time.

I'm running 20% and they are fine. Even the auto-dimming rear view mirror still works fine.

Llumar ceramic.

I went with the mid grade Llumar (one step below ceramic) at 35%.

If I lived somewhere really hot, I’d go with ceramic though.

Agreed - had the same tint in my last car and was very satisfied.

Just weighing in, 5% looks real good and is very comfortable



I have a medical exemption for darker tint

Had 5% on my Z. Do you have to roll down the window to turn left at night?

The other debate is if I should do the windshield and 1RADKIA brings up a good point about the HUD and I'm not even sure the shop would do anything below what is legal or the windshield at all

5% seems crazy dark to me.

Only a strip is allowed in Florida but that never stopped anyone, 30% front windows and 15% back windows is what's legal in Florida again that has never stopped anyone but I might have to know someone to get anything darker. In the Tampa area cops don't really check much unless your being a dick but I know in south Florida they will pull you over just because of the tint.
