Wind:1 Stinger:0

^^^Use longer "tent pegs", something fashioned out of rebar seems doable.

^^^How do those fasten to the earth? That's the only potential wrinkle in that very affordable, practical .
If it’s going to be on the concrete driveway, maybe concrete anchors. No one would likely notice them and you could easily fill them in when you move.

I worry about snow. We get serious accumulation a few times a year and any canvas or tarp is likely going to split once it freezes. (Trust me, I’ve already had snow ruin one pavilion we set up on the back porch!)

If I could trust it... the driveway is *old* and a wreck (I'm not sure how well that comes across in the photos, but you can see how brittle it is from at least one or two of the pics I posted).

I think at one point it was asphalt or something of that ilk, not true concrete. As such, I don't know that there's much to reliably anchor to. I'd be more likely to just punch crumbly holes in it and then sink the spike deep into the tree roots burrowing underneath... And while that may feel like retribution, I would worry that the wind would still have its way.

In Montreal it I very common for people to have this type of structure "tempos" is what they call them after the original

Great resource! That's quite awesome... looks like the snow-capable ones are only for doorways, though? Am I reading that right?

They are typically installed in driveways, but as long as you can anchor it should be fine
