I will also add that the 3 other Kia’s I own or have owned: 09 Koup, 13 Sportage & current 17 Cerato (Forte) all had/have KIA badges, but for my Stinger I preferred the South Korean version, my car, my choice & most of all my money, anyone’s else’s narrow minded view has no consequence on my decisions or actions towards what I do with MY CAR.

Round Kia Motors badge in front, Large Stinger script with the GT badge in rear. Why...why is this still a discussion?

Our Cerato remains stock, has original Kia badges.
My Stinger I wanted to personalise to my own taste so has 3.0 K oval badge, blue background and chrome K on front , 3.0k on wheels,
Large Stinger script across boot and a 3.3T badge on the left rear side.

My car wasn't even cold from the dealer when I had the badges off......Because the Stinger deserved it imho.

Looks like I am the first to vote for : No! It is a Kia, I am comfortable/proud of that! .

Keeping the stock Kia badges front and rear is my personal choice, of course, and I like the appearance of my Stinger with them on, I want other people to know it's a Kia from when they first see it, owning it for 18 months I have sensed BMW , Audi and Mercedes feel intimidated by the Stinger, and would actually think twice to race a car with Kia badges, and risk losing to it...:rofl::laugh::rofl:
Finally, we all know it's a personal choice what we do on our Stinger, and it's nice that those whom re-badge have a unique car , and when I may ever attend a Stinger Drive Day..:), we all have something slightly different, as owners we don't owe Kia anything, it's not our job to promote the brand, re-badging is primarily a personal appearance thing, and for some, also the fun in keeping others guessing who don't know what brand builds the Stinger , I can only imagine how funny it would be if someone told me " I like your Maserati or Jaguar " it would be priceless to see their reaction when you tell them " It's a Kia ", anyway enough said, having this endless discussion on re-badging goes around in a circle, because there is No Right or Wrong here.

@DCBStingerGT Funny you should mention Jaguar, an elderly person (much older than me :)) came up to me in a carpark last week and said he was admiring the car and asked if it was a Jaguar. I said no, it's a Kia, and his head went up and his eyes buldged...very nice he said. I stowed my box of Crownies and went home with a smile.

Well your considering it then, just nervous to bite the bullet so to speak.

About time we had this vote. Put this discussion to bed once and for all.

What is the vote 'Something else' mean. Isn't it Yes Or No to whether you had rebadged or not.

annnd why does rebadging seem to automatically come with the assumption it was done because it’s a KIA?

I rebadged everything exterior AND I’m proud it’s a KIA. I don’t even respond “Stinger” when people ask what it is, I say “It’s a KIA” because it says Stinger in giant letters on the back.

I rebadged because I wanted my car to look like the designers intended - like I bought it in South Korea and drove it away from the plant it was assembled it. Engineered with Excellence.

Done.

My detailer confirmed paint damage when removing the stock badges - he said the paint is incredibly soft, and the badges feel like they've been stuck on for years.
I did my rebadge early January 2018 on a 40c day, left the car in the sun for 2 hours, badges almost fell off & no paint damage what so ever, then let the car cool undercover in the shade before fitting the new OE Kia badges, so quick & clean.

I did mine February of 2018 and had a similar experience. I even put a heatgun to it and had no issues.

But with the amount of cars that have been damaged by rebadging there's no way it's a coincidence. Either something is up with the Stinger's paint or something is up with Stinger owners.
