Will this work

Everywhere I have read says at least 7 so I think it should be ok. Some springs will be ordered soon because the gap is pretty bad but I like it how turned out

A good rule of thumb for threads (assuming male/female parts are of equal strength) is at least 1*diameter.

In this case, 9 turns * 1.5mm = 13.5mm, so you're a little over 1D, which should be OK.

I was pretty frustrated yesterday because I had seen similar wheels ran on our cars and they didn’t fit at first just glad I could get it figured out. In a perfect world I wouldn’t want to run spacers but the wheels came mounted and balanced so there was no returns on then

Hey 2020 gtrwd, I have a few questions if you don't mind.

1. What wheels did you purchase and what was wheel bore size?

2. You first said you got 5mm spacers but then ended up using 10mm hub centric spacers. What brand spacers did you purchase? Also, was 5mm too thin for your setup? Did you have to get extended bolts due to 10mm spacer?

3. If the wheels you purchased had a different bore size than stock which I think is 67.1mm, did you have to add hub centric rings also?

I purchased TSW Mechanica 19x8 with 35ET for front (1 higher ET than the stock wheels which I'm pretty sure is 34ET). Initially I was told these will fit my 2020 GT2 AWD with no issues but then found out I might actually need spacers. I'm now concerned I might need to get hub centric rings also due to different bore size (wheel 76.1 vs car 67.1).

If anyone else has input on my questions, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey I originally purchased 5mm spacers to make sure I cleared the strut but my wheels when I bought them did not appear to be concave enough to clear the brakes so I ended up having to go with a 10mm spacer to push the wheel out far enough to be able to run them. The wheels were able to fit afterwards. I have extended lugs that are able to seat the wheel to the hub through the spacer because the spacer has larger openings than a standard stud hole. I do not know the brand of the 10mm because I bought them from a local shop here in my town. In the future I will probably just going to purchase another set of wheels so I do not have to run spacers. They make hubcentric rings that go from 67.1 to 76.1 diameter to be able to properly fit the wheel. I bought 67.1 to 73.1 so they should make the other sizes also

Thanks for the reply. My new wheels arrived yesterday with the rings included and no spacer was required. So glad I did not have to purchase rings and did not require the spacers.

That’s awesome. I bought 20x9 et 35 thinking they would fit perfect because I have seen others run the same setup but it’s hard to see what a spoke on a wheel is going to do unless you see that exact wheel on you car.
