I was supposed to get my new GT, by mid november, and even after changing dealers (the second one supposed to have secured one) I haven't been able to get my car so far.......

you'll love it more when it arrives !!

Sorry to hear this and I understand your frustration. Have they given you a new estimated arrival date yet?

I agree. Ordered my GT2 Ceramic Silver AWD in October and the dealer has no idea when it will be in. They do know that a red GT2 will be in on January 16th but no other arrivals are known.

It's definitely been a rough launch. I wonder if Kia has enough of these made. Maybe there are supply issues. I have a feeling they had no idea just how popular this car was going to be. There are not enough to go around at this point in time...

Shhhhhhh! Don't say that! They might want to increase the dealer markup!

The car is already in Mexico, but Kia (not the dealership) doesn't want to invoice it, since apparently they have already surpassed their importation quota for the year, and they don't want to pay the extra taxes..... I was just about to give up because I need to pay it this year due for tax deduction and buy a Mercedes E250, but they just told me they found one in other dealership, and they did invoice it yesterday. I will pay today, but.....still no date of arrival. Really the service has sucked.....totally lack of communication, I just hope after-sales service is different

Well, I'm glad to hear they at least located a Stinger for you... Have they at least given you an estimate for day of arrival?

I am having a similar experience. I ordered a blue GT2 on November 21st. I can't get any kind of confirmation from the dealer as to when it will show up. They have absolutely no clue and it's really beyond frustrating.

My dealer has 5 in stock and has already sold at least 6 but none of them are the one I want. I was able to test drive a red GT2 and it seems you can have any color GT2 you want as long as it's red. I have 5 Kia dealers within 50 miles of me and all have red GT2s in stock. In fact, if you look at Cars.com there are something like 200+ red GT2s available across the country and 12 blue GT2s. Most of the blue ones are just stock photos which makes me think they're not actually at the dealer but are somewhere in transit. They do show VIN numbers, though, which is more than I have for mine.

The whole 'waiting to import until after the first of the year' thing does actually kind of make sense. I sure hope I get a call on January 2nd telling me my car is on the truck and being transported. I'm sold on the car and have had really good luck with my '13 Optima SXL. In fact, I sold a Corvette with the idea of buying the Stinger, I don't feel Kia is handling this launch very well in some respects.

FWIW, the dealer I ordered mine from has a Ceramic Silver GT2 AWD on the lot.

No supply issue in AZ. There are a ton. But all we have is the base GT in blue, the GT1 in black, and GT2 in red. I was very interested in the ceramic as I wanted the red interior too but that red... ;)

It's been a rough rollout for the Stinger on many levels, unfortunately. I don't think anyone, including Kia USA, was prepared for this car. But, everyone who eventually gets their Stinger seems to feel it was worth the trouble. So I hope the outlook starts getting better sooner than later...
