I asked a local wrap shop how much it would be to clear wrap my mirrors and a
few other items so I don't have to deal removing water stains from the shiny chrome that takes lots of elbow grease to remove. I also wanted the side louver trim covered along with chrome around upper and lower front grilles and also B pillars to keep them nice and shiny.
Here are his prices:
b pillars: $80+tax (both sides)
fender vent: $40/ea+tax
mirror: $74/ea+tax
front grill: $140+tax
lower bumper piece: $130+tax

I think that's crazy high pricing for that little amount of coverage.
Am I wrong? Most of the cost is just labor, as only a tiny bit of wrap will be used.
Are his prices reasonable?
He wants $150 just to cover the mirrors.... I can get those carbon fiber style covers on ebay for
$125/pr. which would also solve my problem, and add some style too. I'm just afraid of prying off the mirror to install the new covers. Watched a video of a guy doing it and was on the edge of my seat while he pryed them off.

I think the labor is intensive on a lot of "fiddly" little spots/parts. But those prices don't seem very competitive to me either. A bigger job, say the entire front back to the windshield, should run either side of a thousand dollars; and if you have these "fiddly" bits done at the same time, I bet you'll get a price break.

Yeah you are wrong. Those prices are pretty good.

Those parts have little to do with the amount of material and the time and skill it takes to do them well.

if you think it’s expensive, grab some clear vinyl off eBay and try it yourself.

All of this.

if you think it's unreasonable, try it yourself. It's not even the cost of their time, but the cost of paying someone with experience that can do it well.

Full wrap from the top rated shop in my area is over $2k. They do a lot of exotics.
