Why I hate people...

I haven't had the parking problem because i still have my daily driver, but i always have a problem with people, in my case let's call them other drivers, everytime i drive my Stinger, and without fail , have always a tailgater behind me, here i am driving this V6 TT that can take most , driving around me, and it's everyone else who is in more of a hurry, but it's more to do with driver attitude, and respect for the law and other drivers on the road, i never tailgate , it's just not who i am as a driver and a person, even on the freeway, here i am doing the 100km speed limit here in Oz, and then i have a Toyota Tarago with like 10 people in it passing me, like how embarrassing, and for anyone who lives in Victoria and knows the Western Ring Road, i am sure @Flameangel knows it well maybe, like speed cameras hidden anywhere, and so far apart, but i am impressed with the softly and sexy spoken woman who reminds me that the lanes are ending and speed cameras 100 metres ahead, still don't know where she is hiding in my Stinger, but she can't hide forever.....

Not so familiar with the Western ring although have travelled on it ages ago. Freeway from Geelong over the West gate know like the back of my hand.Everyone knows where the speed camera's are on the freeway, their pretty obvious, so everyone slows down before and passing under, then guns it afterwards. Do the Stingers have speed camera detection ? the GPS in my Optima certainly doesn't, it needs upgrading and that's not free either. My Kia service centre advised it would cost over $200 to upgrade it, I guess I'll have to get it done because there are new roads etc in Geelong and sometimes it wants to take me on an old route with a dead end. So mostly I have my phone on google maps sitting in the cup console when I am going somewhere new, not ideal I know.

Want to purchase sometime next year, will trade in my Optima, have separate money in an account which is my " Stinger savings " lol and my lovely hubby has sold one of his two motorbikes ( an Aprillia ) pending payment and said the money for his bike I can have towards the Stinger, isn't he awesome ? I want a Snow White pearl, red nappa, top spec GT with bimodal exhaust .

Welcome to the club. I think we all fall victims to hit and runs eventually. Bad luck that some of us get dinged on our new cars.

Body shop should easily repair that damage with some sanding and paint.

Doesnt matter where you park they will find you. Stopped for some take out the other night. Most of the businesses are closed for the day maybe 8 cars in a 100 space parking lot. Gonna be in there 5 minutes but none the less I park at the absolute end of the lot drivers side against the curb. Grab my pizza and wings and head back to my car. Isnt there a pick up parked right next to my passengers side. Dudes half in the cab ass sticking out bouncing his door towards my car. I walk the 1/8 mile pizza in hand and get to my car. Look down the passengers side to make sure there was no contact. He stops what hes doing and looks up. This is where I digress and ask him, " have you ever asked yourself? why would someone park way the f*ck out here to get a pizza?" Blank stare. It's because of as*holes like YOU! and off I went...
I know there will be more but it drives me crazy.

I took an overnight trip this weekend and due to circumstances beyond my control, ended spending the night at a motel I would rather not have stopped by, let alone spent the night. Was very relieved to find my baby unscathed in the morning.

Now that's the kind of story that truly upsets me , good on you for saying something to him, since we are discussing people who just have to park next too us, even in an empty parking lot, i post this video in which i have posted once before, to show how we all feel when it happens to us.

Touch up pen: very fine lines and dabs into the aggrieved spots; buff lightly afterward; apply several layers of wax; and unless you know it's there, it won't be noticeable. Then get a new bumper later; or at least a professional repaint. In the meantime, your car won't nag at you.

I wouldn't even bother with a touch up pen, you'll make more of a mess. Looking at the damage, only parts of the scratches look very deep.

Go to the store, get some Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a buffing cloth. Buff out the area with the compound, and I'm certain you will be happy with the results.
