There was an AWD GT2 on copart last week with "vandalism" damage, but a clean title. I was watching it closely but it ballooned up to $18,500 during auction. It looked pretty spotless compared to this one.

Yes I was looking at that one also. Black one right? Sold for more than 20k. Had a lien on it, so that's why it's on Copart probably.
As for this one, I got it fairly cheaper than 20k. Might rebuild, would make for a good project. Will see when it reaches Cali.

Yep - that was the one; up in WI or something. Lien makes sense, but definitely ended up too rich for my blood.

I would love to have a dedicated track project Stinger (just throwing out that idea). Keep us updated on the car.

Price was less than 15k. Will update you when I get the car and the papers. Just by looking at it the repairs will start at 6k. Not counting frame and airbags.

Definitely was owned from someone who did not a good taste in badges, should have kept eh original Kia logo, maybe would have not got into an accident.

Frame looks a little bent but otherwise that car is in mint condition. Just needs some Bondo.

Just got the build sheet, found out it's RWD. Anyone done an LSD swap yet? Not liking the open diff. Open diffs are for FWD Hondas and Toyotas.

I think you're in luck. The RWD comes with an LSD. The AWD has the open diffs because their slip is managed by the torque vectoring electronics.

You are correct for the 2019 MY, however 2018 has an open diff for RWD...
EDIT: the 2018 GT2 has an LSD.

That'll buff out
