Well, to be fair, turbocharging is supercharging. However, it is still dumb. Also, no one believes that's a bimmer. I could see someone believing it is a Maserati... back in 2018.

Turbochargers were originally known as turbosuperchargers because all forced induction devices are classified as superchargers. Technically, turbochargers are superchargers, however today, the term "supercharger" is typically applied only to mechanically driven forced induction devices.
It most definitely is a form of supercharging; the marketing terms split from the technical terms.
