I know with the trim levels having different names in different territories it's difficult to tell, but I haven't seen a single GT1 at any local dealerships (D.C. area) and I don't think I've noticed any forum members saying they bought a GT1. I'm not sure if all the enthusiasts are either going for GT2's or 2.0t Premiums, but I'm just wondering, has anyone in the USA seen GT1's at their dealerships? Has a wave of them hit the west coast yet, or is Kia simply not delivering them at all?

Plenty around here (dallas/fort worth area), since mid-December. Against my better judgment I wanted black, since black cars are gorgeous those 11 minutes they're clean after being washed. I went in to buy a GT1, but I missed it by 5 minutes. At the second dealer, similar story; someone left a deposit over the phone.

They're out there but I wonder if they're being snapped up quicker than the base GT and GT2, since they're the sweet spot of the lineup.

There are some GT1's in the Phoenix area but most are black. One dealer shows a white GT1 but maybe the website is wrong. The black GT1 with red interior looks great but I will never own another black car. Too hard to keep clean, etc.

Just test drove two GT1's in Chicago area.

I'm holding out when they can get some different color GT's all the have are freaking blue ones right now. That seems to be nation wide

What features made you guys seek the GT1 over GT?
I'm having troubles deciding.

Definitely the 15 speaker sound system vs. the 9 speaker, and the sunroof. Those are the main differences I'd say. I guess the larger dash screen too?

Edit: and the electronic controller suspension

While there are well over 200 Stingers available here in the NE the only six bangers available are GT2’s, all 17 in red last I looked.

Update: as of this morning there are 230 Stingers available within 100 miles of NYC, 26 of them are GT2's, all red exteriors with AWD (makes sense in the NE), there are no GT's or GT1's listed at all. There are 117 2.0's and 87 Premiums to round out the numbers, black interiors only for all 230.

From my experience, the interior colors listed are not always correct. They are always listed as black because the other colors are considered a package. The blue GT2 I got was listed as black interior. I had to tell the salesperson that it will be light gray. The 2.0 in white is available in light gray interior and the black is available in beige interior. You may want to contact the dealer or do a drive by to verify interior colors.

I'm just going by what the website says, it does have a box for the beige and gray interiors for the models you mentioned but the colors do not come up when you bring up available inventory. It's obvious the vast majority of interiors of all versions are black, either the website is wrong or the first wave of cars to make it to the NE are as the majority is, who knows? The 5 cars at my local dealer (2 2.0's, one Premium + my GT2) were all black, I saw them with my own eyes :).

That's what i'm saying, the kia website even shows them wrong in one spot. Here is the first one I found in my area to display this. I'm not saying it's impossible that every car in your area has a black interior, just trying to give you a little hope :)car.webp

Amazing! You have people who shop by color (interior/exterior), Kia is actually hiding the information some might want that would cause them to choose the product being sold, I have no words.

The dealership manager I spoke to was frustrated by this as well. They consider every interior color other black to be a "package" which moves it to that other spot. Even in my case, the blue GT2 having only a light gray interior, black is not even possible...... Hopefully this helps you find a car

When I was at my local dealership the guy who places the orders was pulling stuff up on his ordering system and it was strange how nothing he was describing matched up with the configurator on the Kia website, so I understand what you're saying about the color combinations being inventoried as "packages", I just don't understand what's in it for Kia to have this obfuscated system for their dealers?

Edit: They didn't even know what the "DriveWise" package was, they had some different name for it entirely.

Heh, I wanted a Premium edition with a light interior, after studying the website I realized that my choice was a white exterior only and set about finding one. My local dealer was on the lookout as my current Cadenza lease is expiring later this month, my wife and I stopped by the dealer a couple of weeks ago and a Korean version GT2 red on red was on the floor, our tongues hit the floor. I left amazed at what I saw but was still in the market for my Premium, this past weekend we stopped back there once again and on the floor was a just arrived red GT2 US version (black interior), I sat in it, climbed over it, studied every angle, then sat down with a salesman and shook his hand shortly thereafter. Don't have it yet, picking it up this weekend.

Congrats!

Despite the eternal frustration with keeping black clean, I wanted black with the red interior and was told good luck finding one with the GT2 trim. Dealership here in Albuquerque got a GT1 and I got it. Bring on the detailing products.
