What's your favorite Mando setting! Post it!

The lifting in the front end under strong acceleration is quite disconcerting...

I'm not sure I said it the right way, but I guess the weight transfer from front to back, seemed to "lift" up the front end (not drag car lift of course, but just a bit). With the sport setting in the mando it doesn't seem to do that. Feels as if the things are more linear upon hard acceleration. Hope I'm explaining it the right way.

Also, I know when I take off with some power the front end doesn't feel like it lifts as it did before. If that makes sense.

Individual vehicles must be different. Because I have never noticed squat and dive with my car. When it takes off it feels flat; same with hard braking.

It's possible, I guess. I definitely notice it. I do not notice it now with the mando.

It doesn't feel like squat (I've experienced that in other cars) - the nose just feels a bit "vague", like some cars can at very high speed as the nose starts to rise due to aerodynamic lift.

I feel the same thing when I floor it. It is a big unnerving to me. Hope this helps that like Scott said.

Even more what I said, then! I got up to 155 in July a year ago and my car was stable, smooth and quiet at that elevated speed. There is no way that I would have taken the Stinger up "there" if it had started to feel, in any way, "vague". o_O:eek: This car is aerodynamically sound. It is the single most impressive thing about its performance capabilities, imho.

Everyone has different expectations I guess.

When y'all post your setting here, please state if you have springs, sways, or both ... as favorite settings will be much different depending on your suspension mods. Anyone have both springs and sways (Eibach) here as I do? Love to see your settings if so. Thanks.

My car is all stock, with the exception of he Mando box. No tint, no badges (even though I have them still in the box that I ordered), no springs, no sways.

I agree with Rango, please make sure you share your mods so someone who bought the unit could easily compare what has been tried out there already.
thanks to everyone who contributed with this already ! I was thinking to wait until next March, once the winter is over, to order it ... or would this be even more beneficial in the winter time - where are my Canadian folks at !?!? :p:p

Posted in the other thread:

I just installed it this morning....
the comfort setting is a lot better than factory USA setting...sport damping is a lot better better.
Not every person evaluates suspension behavior equally...

Questions that came after install it, that I dont have the answer clear;
Power should be switched or constant? (I connected switched)
Do you have to connect your phone every time you want to use app? select device , connect , etc.....
once you close the app it disconnect from the module, ( no matter the car is on)
What are the comfort and sport settings parameters? to use then as a base to make the custom ones?
Custom 1 and 2 start at 50% front and rear....maybe too much for daily driving..

best mod in a long time.....

Since getting the unit, I tried Comfort and Sport for brief periods and I do like how they make the car tighter, but I did notice there are some minor jitters in the ride on both settings. Would really like to know those setting so we could tweak from there.

I installed mine on Tuesday and so far have only used comfort on the car and app. I want to compare that to the comfort car mode since that is what I use most of the time. I drove a 40 mile round trip yesterday, mostly freeway, and it is much smoother to me. On the way back it was significantly smoother in the 70mph region.

Im running comfort default setting as of now....
tried a couple of custom advanced settings but it requires o lot of time and trial and error
if we don't have a starting point...
for example what % to start at 50 kph? 20? 40? 50? font rear? to many variables....
the good part is that you can feel the different settings....but which one is your liking? a lot of work!
as of now comfort is better than oem, but sport may be to hard for my roads, adjust front? back? how much?
See! its a lot of fun!

It will take a lot of time to tweak and adjust, I am using xot1's settings for now and tweaking when I can. I find the rear a bit too soft and bouncy at lower speeds, in the 30-50 mph region, on dips and such. Overall, I like his Advanced settings as a starting point.

This is what I don't understand: if the Stinger is "bouncy" at 30 to 50 mph, but buttoned down the faster it goes, isn't that the best? Soft and cushy at "Civilized" speeds, and firm, high performance at extralegal speeds.

If it isn't not softer than the stock comfort setting, it's better for me. I prefer a firmer, well damped ride throughout the range. While I like the standard Comfort and Sport setting in the App, it is a bit jittery on smooth roads.

These days I just use the mando sport setting.
I really liked my advanced settings but I noticed that when driving fast on some uneven roads or when accelerating strongly at low speed it is sometimes very unstable. There must be a problem with the profile, but I couldn't find it yet. I found the sport predefined setting to be way safer all around. Less comfortable at low speeds, but stable at all speeds/situations.(I got sways)
I wish we could find what is the profile of that mando sport mode, so that we can tweak around it.
I like a firmer front so what I do these days is sport mode or custom mode with suspension in sport (using the dial) + mando sport and I increase the tire pressure by 2 psi in the front.

I’m thinking the ride going softer than the initial setting where the rear gets softer and the fronts harder is probably the cause. The handling isn’t in play as much just cruising at loser speeds. That softness in the rear makes the rear a little unstable. I know in the Basic section, I had mine set for a static number for ride/handling across the full range of speed and liked it there. I’ll have to tune it up with the handling in the Advanced section to get it improved.
