I know that sounds strange but the laws are quite strict here, We have a 2kmh tolerance on speed limit. We have unmarked mobile speed cameras that have no warning signs that are parked in parking bays on roadsides in uninteresting cars like Mitsubishi SUVs.

And we invented red light cameras in Melbourne decades ago and sold the technology to the world. So blame us.

Took it to 170km/hr once (about 105mph). No desire to test it further than that.

148 mph and my gts was still accelerating when I backed off the pedal. The wife normally drives the gts around 105 to 110 mph on road trips if traffic is non existent.

The cops in the following video would have shot the Stinger cop dead on the spot, with him leaping out like some lunatic. Why did he lead them on such a long chase without lights? Idiot.

That Stinger chase was nuts! Everyone should watch that for the surprise ending.

I really have no road her suitable for my little 2.0 liter to reach the 135mph limit so I haven't tried.

At one point I made a spreadsheet with the gear ratios, final drive, and tire height that said we're geared to around 255mph. And in 8th at 80mph I'm just over 2000rpm, so that tracks.
