What's the best time for our server upgrade?

Don't you have access to the websites stats.. When I had created a forum before I had the ability to see traffic on a graph.. So you could find the least traffic day and hours.

2am Eastern time, if I worked it out correctly would be 4pm AEST here in Victoria and some other states, WA is 2 hours behind and would be 2pm AEST, sounds good to me, I'm sure we can all manage to have a break from the forum for at least an hour, where ever you live, hope the times are correct for Australia.

I think 4am eastern time might work best... I'm thinking that's 4pm (getting ready to leave work?) and 6pm (driving home from work or eating dinner?) depending on the time zone in Australia... 2pm is a fairly busy time for the time zone...

As far as traffic stats go, our least amount of traffic is during the early morning hours in the U.S. - but I'm trying to avoid being down during busy times for those in Australia and New Zealand...

Anyway, this server upgrade is the first step toward the software upgrade...

Servers gotta be down for maintenance once in a while. When it's planned, do it at your convenience at any hour of the day or night, just please put up a sticky a couple days before so we know to expect it. Thanks for your efforts and concern.

I've asked the server administrator to do the server upgrade at 4am, about 8 hours from now, but I have not heard back from him. I'm assuming he's not going to do it yet - but you never can be sure.

I'd say expect a little down time just in case. Maybe I'm just not receding emails or something. I've been "out of pocket" all day.
