Looking for ideas to make my 2019 GT faster. I'm not concerned about drag racing per se, but I love to drive fast up and down the west coast smashing 5.0 mustangs :) and enjoy having power in my cars.

This is what I have done so far.
  • Ultimate Performance FMIC with cold pipe
  • JT intakes
  • Velossa Tech Ram Air
  • ADD Catch Can
  • xForce Varex Catback EVC
  • Eibach Sway Bars (rear/front)
I'm just not sure what I should do next and what can give me the most bang for my buck...

I can't speak to the FMIC because I've not decided on one yet. I'm not positive the Velossa Techs will work with the JT intakes? You might consider midpipes as well as a catback. And if going with the Eibachs, get some collar clamps for the outsides of the bushings to make sure they stay in place. The Whiteline Sway bar kits supposedly come with them already. Also, consider Whiteline's front and rear adjustable endlinks to finish off the handling.

If you're stuck in California, I really don't know what's legal. I'm guessing the JT intakes aren't. But what you're really missing is something like the JB4. Do some searching on any of these and you'll see plenty of discussions.

Good luck!

Thanks! What do you mean about the collar clamps? Can you share any more details on what needs to be done?

Anyone have an opinion on the JB4 vs the Pro Tuner?

Without a chip or an ECU tune your hardware mods aren't doing much for you.
JB4 and WMI should get you close to 500whp.

Do you already have a tune to go with all those things? The car won't make the best use of many of them without a tune. The JB4 seems popular. :)

Superior is better than popular, go tork ecu tune.
I also have the jt intake and up fmic so i see you have good taste. ;)
Maybe a cat back but weight reduction in wheels, battery, rotors etc would do more than a primary or secondary dp. But dps are also popular. Lol.

These are collar clamps. They came with my Whiteline kit

I'm new to working on cars and mods but I'm reading and soaking up as much info as I can, I have a new passion for it :) I read all 152+ messages in the JB4 thread and from what I understand it would be pretty limiting with only 91 octane available in California. Even if I buy the plugs and gap them I could still only run map 1. I read with 93 octane I could run map 2 but I don't have 93 in my state :(

Anyone know what us Cali folks can do to get more out of the JB4?

These are collar clamps. They came with my Whiteline kit

Wonder if those would fit the Eibach sway bars? Front and rear is needed correct?

You can't get e85 in California at all either?

There is a place close that has E85. I will have to learn about E85, maybe you can tell me a little more about it in relation to the JB4?

You can mix E85 in to increases octane level, which can help to make up for "only" having 91 octane fuel.

I believe some of the stock maps will work with up to about E30. You're best to check with BMS themselves, in either the forum here or the specific support forums they have on n54tech.

Another option is to mix race gas (100-octane or higher) with your 91 octane fuel - you can work the maths out, it ends up being about 3:1 for the gas to racegas ratio I believe.

A 91 octane Cali customer drove up to Tork last month and got a 91 octane ECU tune. He was running 4.5 0-60 on his jb4 (no fuel wires, map 2 i think) and with ecu tune hit a 3.99.

Shell 91 is what we have access to in the Vancouver area and I run map2 with no problem.

Its not the tune as much as the car runs out of fuel in the e25 to e 35 range depending on mods/boost.

Pretty sure you can run map2 on CA91. Map3 needs E85.

Not according to their site n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52020

Map guide as of v5 firmware (selected via JB4 Mobile/laptop interface. Map1 is the default map)

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: 4psi over stock peak tapering to 2.5psi at high RPM. Default performance map suitable for all 91+ octane fuels.
Map 2: 5psi over stock tapering to 4psi at high RPM. Suggested for 93+ octane fuel.
Map 3: 6psi stock tapering to 5psi at high RPM. Suggested for high quality fuel including unleaded race gas, ethanol mixtures up to 30%, or high quality octane booster like Torco or Boostane.
Map 4: Valet map, runs around half as much boost as stock.
Map 5: Up to 7psi over stock. For use with unleaded race fuel and/or E85 mixtures up to 30%.
Map 6: User adjustable map. Enter value of boost over stock by RPM on user adjustment page.
Map 7: Up to 7psi over stock but without top end taper. For unleaded race fuel use and bolt on modifications. May not be suitable for E85 mixtures due to high fuel pressure dropping. If using this map on E85 you should be experienced at reading your own logs and evaluating ignition advance and fuel pressure.
Map 8: Progressive WMI (water/meth) map. Increases boost as a function of methanol flow & methanol boost additive. Holds boost low until WMI is flowing to avoid tip-in knock, and reduces boost as a function of WMI flow in the event of interruption like running out of fluid, leak, or component failure.
