What is your motor oil and filter preference?

I'd feel that's too light of an oil with such low viscosity that it won't provide enough protection when you try to push the car ~
In fact they don't even feel its appropriate for the V6 .. only the 4 cyl

Nevermind, didn't really think about the meaning behind the numbers ~
Strange how 0W-30 is appropriate for the 2liter ..
I guess they just didn't want to list everything under the sun?

0w40 has the same viscosity as 15w40 once the oil is warmed up.

Edit: you beat me to the punch.

I like the xW40's for when you are beating on it, but a 5w40 is hard to find. I can only find the non diesel type at a local pep boys for $38/5qt. Meanwhile, Mobil one 0w40 at wal mart is $21/5qt

Requested Mobil 1 pure synthetic at my dealership. They obliged and according to them, recommended oil is <name your brand> 0w30

Using Idemitsu on my Mazda 6 atm, pretty good, think to use it for Stinger as well when buy it. Btw Stinger's manual I seen says preferred oil is Total Quartz brand.

I have some edge 0w40 left over but hate to use it since its not in the manual for warranty purposes. So was trying to decide on a 5w40.

Mobil 1 full synthetic. Used nothing else for decades. Had a ‘99 Camry for the kid. Engine was cleaner at 195,000 miles than at the 160,000 mark when I got it.

After reading most of the posts, 10w30 is the way to go?

For our 2.0Ls the oil spec is rather specific, requiring oils with an ACEA C2 rating which means less ash in the blend so as not to clog the cat or possibly triple cat system. Dealer put in Shell Helix Ultra Professional AG 5W-30 which is ACEA C3 rated.

Live here in Phoenix, my GT2 has 15k miles. Oil change and such is done at the dealer every 5000 miles. No issues and in its first summer (2018) it had no problems.
