What is your impression of upgrading Turbos with MuchBoost

I understand there is a big difference at WOT as it always will be with upgrades. But how is the daily driving? I am a bit afraid of to much lag as I not after max power.

Tell me if you have upgraded turbos so I can decide for when Mr. Kim comes here in winter for do headbolts. Also dyno differences is welcome.

It looks like these are a standard hybrid turbo, ie enlarging the wheel within the stock housing. That's a mild upgrade and I don't think lag is ever a risk.

Our turbos are supposed to hit max boost by 1300 rpm, but if you look at the real world dynos, you typically see torque climb to around 2500 before leveling off. The chart for this upgrade shows spool between about 2100 and 2600 rpm. They quote peak torque at 3552 but I would call it flat from 2600-4400.

So the bigger wheel might mean lower velocity at low rpm, and slightly higher inertia, but looking at the charts I can't see it being more than a couple hundred rpm. And given how quickly are cars spool stock, and that these keep building power to 6000rpm, I'd call it a worthwhile trade.

I agree , tuners like Tork are spinning their engines to 7000+ with stock turbos so there is scope within our platform still without swapping turbos for that go faster rush.

Yes, a single is great but possible a bi harder to go thru the yearly inspection. Better manifolds will also do a lot off course.

There will soon be a limit for broken pistons and also rods. High timing and boost has it limits...

I would love to blow mine up because of too much boost and timing rather than it just clap out because of low maintenance like I see around these parts.
