What did you shop against the Stinger?

Seriously considered:
Used Hyundai Genesis
Used GS 350
New WRX

Semi-seriously considered:
2019 Acura RDX SH-AWD

Casually considered:
Miata
Genesis Coupe
MDX

I was debating about getting the 2018 civic type R until they give me the $10,000 mark up on top of the MSRP $36,000 46,000 + tax and fee. I was sad and decide to watch TV and saw the KIA Stinger commercial. Long story short, I got a Micro Blue GT in my garage and save $.

I'm now also looking into the Genesis G70 Sport AWD with 3.3L turbo. It seems to be a slightly shorter Stinger with a trunk rather than a hatch and more attention to "luxury" and fit/finish for about the same money. I wonder if all the tuner folks posting here are also creating product for that platform given that it's a clone of the Stinger drivetrain.

Needed a 4 door, for possible little ones coming. Stinger had balls, styling, accessories...and must not forget the Ceramic color...just fit us for right now ;)

Yeah, I had a 2015 GT w/6sp also. I really miss that car...best bang for the buck for a performance car these days...think I paid 28k for mine in 2015. My "compromise" was a switch to the 485hp charger two years later (two toddlers at that point). That got me the big trunk, extra 2 doors, and was just as fast. I'm primarily looking at the Stinger/G70 as winter transportation. Previously, I'd done that in an Audi, but I don't feel like dropping 80-100k+ on another A8L or S6/S7.

Cheers!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Agreed, damn thing is that they just aren't reliable either.

2018 Audi S5 sportback
2018 Infiniti Q50
2018 Buick GS
2018 BMW 440i GC

I liked the looks of the Stinger better than all of the above.

Currently in the early stages now. This is the preliminary list:

BMW 440i GC
BMW M340i
Audi S5 Sportback
Golf Type R
Infiniti Q50S Red Sport
Mercedes C43

Will throw all of these into a spreadsheet along with check boxes for my desired features and amenities. That spreadsheet coupled with my test drive experience will determine the winner.

Hint: Stinger is currently way ahead, on paper.
