Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I see we now have 40 members. Wow! That's great. I didn't expect to attract so many people so quickly and before the Stinger was on the road or in dealerships. If you're reading this as a guest - please take a moment to register. It's quick and easy. I'd love to see more people jump on board. And if you're already a member - why not introduce yourself?

Thanks again! Enjoy the community...

I'm new today. The Stinger may be a possible replacement for our beloved 2009 Pontiac G8 GT.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Well! It looks like you're a pretty serious car enthusiast with that list of automobiles in your signature. The G8 GT is a pretty impressive sedan and I say the same about the Chevrolet SS. It appears many SS owners are seriously considering the Stinger GT as their next car - so it only makes sense that you'd be making the same consideration...

Thanks again for signing up! I hope you find the community friendly, entertaining and informative...

Many THANKS for the kind welcome! While the Chevy SS is a nice vehicle we much preferred the styling of our Pontiac G8 GT to the relatively mundane styling of the Chevy SS. Plus the SS was roughly $50k out the door, making it an easy decision to opt for $50k Corvette and just keep our G8 long term for the best of both worlds. At nearly 92k miles it's been a solid and reasonably reliable vehicle overall since new. It's also excellent in the snow with proper tires and a hoot to drive!

Hey! Welcome, new member! I was trying to pronounce your name and then I figured it out. Tri Powered GTO.

Yes, I agree that the G8 GT is a MUCH nicer looking car than the Chevy SS. To me the Chevy SS looks too much like a Malibu. Fast cars aren't really my thing (I probably would not live very long if I had one) but I do like fast "looking" cars.

I'm glad one of our new signups actually said hello! :p

Hello everyone! I joined this forum because I like to do a ton of research before making a car purchase! I am excited to learn more about the Kia Stinger. I am cross shopping the Stinger with the BMW 440i, Audi S5 Sportback, VW Arteon, and the yet announced Volvo S60. LOL I know that's a lot of cars that may not exactly be direct competitors, but I am not a conventional shopper!!

Welcome. I'm also considering the BMW 440i and Audi S5 Sportback so we do have that in common. I haven't done any research on the upcoming Volvo S60. I guess I should? I'm not a conventional shopper either. I can go from a truck to a coupe to an suv to a sedan without thinking twice. It all depends on my mood. :p

Thanks Brian!!

LOL we are kindred spirits...I had the SQ5 and Volvo XC60 on my list at one point lol (not to mention, I'm curious to see what the new Ford Bronco will look like). If you like the looks of the newly designed Volvo S90 (I do, the interior is plush), but want a smaller form factor, I think the S60 may be something to check out. There are not a ton of details but they should be releasing specs soon.

I hear you on the Ford Bronco. I'm really excited to see what it's going to look like. The new Volvo S90 really is very nice. I took a whole bunch of pictures of it in my local shopping mall a month ago. I used to think Volvo made the ugliest square cars but they're making very nice cars these days. I'll be watching out for the S60 but I'm pretty sure the Stinger is exactly what I want.

I tried to upload a pic of my 2001 Accord, but the file was too large. Anyhow, after more than 343K miles, I finally had an estimated repair bill that was more than I could accept. I gave it to Kars4kids ( super easy and convenient donation). That car owed me nothing and I'm probably out of my mind not to get another, but with over 30,000 annual commuting miles I might as well enjoy it. Hopefully, the Stinger will bring a bit of the thrill I enjoyed with my Hyabusa, the best machine I've ever owned.
P.S. Great site! Thank you.

Thank you for the introduction, CTBumpkin! I'm glad you found us! Now I wonder what happened with that Accord picture. Can you tell me how large the file is?
