I've got this weird plastic film on the bottom of my rear doors as well as all a thin piece all the way up the rear door. I'm not sure it's supposed to be there but afraid to pull it off. It was peeling on one side so I started to peel it off and the door is really sticky now.

Anyone have this? It doesn't look normal and I don't see it on other people's pictures.

You can see it also goes up the door

And here is sticky stuff when it was peeled off.

Thanks!

Oops, aaagain. I did that, on the right side; peeled all three pieces OFF. Then decided that they were too thick to be "packing film" and I had screwed up. Yup. Cost nearly fifty bucks to order three replacement patches.:P

Ah, but you had the excuse of a failing/peeling edge to tempt you. I had to work to get mine off. Heh!

Haha I was tempted before. The peel put me over the top. Seems pretty crappy to start peeling after 1000 miles. And why is it just on the rear door? You would think there would be some by the front tires too.

Yeah that is there for paint protection. I have a white one and you can't see it unless you feel for it.

It's where the random piece of debris, flipped back and up by the front tires, can impact the slight flare of the rear wheel well. The Stinger's "pinched waist" exposes that area.

Dirt magnets (on the edges) and hard to clean on a white car. PIA.
