Waze integration in Apple Car Play?

Was googling to see if Waze could/would ever work in the UVO / Car Play system.

Came across this thread saying iOS 12 allows Waze into Carplay.

Can anyone verify if this is true?

Public release date for iOS 12 is probably some time in September, but yes - one of the features would be CarPlay allowing more apps. Right now it is possible to use beta version so maybe someone already test it.

I am using the beta for iOS 12 and as of yet, it is not integrated. Both Waze and Google Maps have to be updated to be used in CarPlay. From what I have read, those updated apps will not be released until around the official release date of iOS 12 in September.

Oh, that makes sense that the apps also need to be updated. September is not too far off though

Things working in CarPlay has nothing to do with Kia. It's all on Apple to release iOS 12, and Google to update Waze.
