Hey guys, I've had the gt2 for about a month now, putting about 1k miles between local and highway commuting. I've noticed something that bugs me a little. Much of the marketing materials claim that the 3.3T motor can generate full boost and torque at "As low as 1300RPM" However, looking at most of the dyno charts floating around the interweb, I've noticed that most of charts show full torque not coming in until shortly after 2.5k RPM. I'm attaching a Dyno sheet from Tork Motorsports as an example, but sheets from several other tuners show the same thing. The butt dyno also confirms that much much happens under 2k, and torque build sharply from 2000 rpm to about 2500 rpm, then its full steam ahead.
Is this just exaggerated
marketing on Kia's part, or am I way off base?
