Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign letter

I did a quick search and haven’t found anything about this.
I got a letter yesterday asking me to take the car to the dealer to have them verify that it says the correct oil.
I don’t understand why I can’t just verify it myself?

Cap says 0w/30. I’ve been using 5w/30 synthetic. ??

No letter here. My cap says 5W-30 too.
I imagine that there were some cars that went out wrong but it does not warrant a recall. They are just sending letters out to people in a certain serial# range. Lucky you!

I got the letter. My car came with the wrong oil fill cap I think. It says 0W-30 on it, so they will replace the cap.

Anyone gotten a letter about the voluntary emissions service campaign? They say Kia dealers will inspect the evaporator canister and install an auxiliary canister kit to improve evaporative system performance on those vehicles that require it.
