Very frustrated with Kia

Including them in the base model would just increase the base price of the car. It’s not like the dozen or more sensors and additional processors being used in that package are free of any cost. I’d actually bet they’re pretty expensive and that the $2k package cost is a pretty fair deal. Blind spot monitoring in particular isn’t included on any entry level base model cars that I’m aware of.

Hyundai Sonata - Kia Optima - Mazda 6 and CX-9 - Nissan Rogue. Those are the models in a similar or lower price range. There are others but at a much higher price. I should clarify the cars I listed have the blind spot monitoring. I do not know if they carry all of the safety features that are included in the DriveWise package.

As of 6/20 the delivery date is Monday 6/25. Not sure if I will take delivery on Monday or Tuesday yet. I will let everyone know when I finally have my GT. This weekend I will read up on the threads about leasing then purchasing as I am nervous about the process. I think I may have set a world record on waiting 76 days on an order for a Kia.

I think I'll break your record soon.. I've placed my order on 6th of May (48days till now) - 40 to go. The dealer expects it to arrive end of July.
