Very Faint Whistle coming from driver side window. Sounds like air leak but is not. Need help!

Do you know of any videos, etc that show what you're explaining. I understand but id hate to just start goin at the plastic trim and it snap for some reason or i mess it up.

I did get my old mirror assebly off lastnight. About to put the replacement on. Really hoping that stops it. If not, ill start with this.

I’m not near the car now, but if I remember correctly, just squeeze that plastic trim that goes all the way around the window GENTLY and pull. It should snap off. Won’t see my car again until Monday.

I figured it out by taping all possible areas and used process of elimination. ill be fixing i tomorrow.

Oh okay, i gotcha. yeah i can hear it very clearly in each video. i appreciate the advice.

ive done all of your recommendations except the lubrication. I really thought getting rid of the broken mirror assembly and replacing it would do the trick but nope. At this point im taping all the areas it could be coming from and ruling them out one by one.

Hopefully someone else will give them a listen and see if they can tell.

I could hear "wind" at times, but no whistle. Can you hear the whistle listening to your videos? Because if you definitely can, and I can't, that is my ears lacking high pitch acuity.

If the sound is coming from the area near the B pillar that has nothing to do with the plastic panel near the mirror. Try lubricating your door seals. Try taping the edges of that plastic panel near the mirror. Can't think of any other suggestions.

It would stink if you bought a used "whistling mirror." Heh.

edit to add, you could try removing the mirror entirely and taping off the hole. If you hear the whistle without a mirror in place that rules out the mirror.

I figured out where the whistle is comin from. when i hit it on the garage it mustve bent the area where the bolts screw in causing it to have a minor gap. i taped that gap up and it went away. now i have to figure out how to fill in the gap between the mirror assembly seal and the car itself.

A thin coating of black silicone glue/sealant.
