[VENDOR][FS]: 2018-2021 Kia Stinger - Standard or Sequential LED Bumper Reflector Lights - K8 Stinger Store

That’s crazy..... now it looks like the factory lights are orange and the reflectors are perfect smfh lol
It’s tricky to take a photo because the factory tail lights will flicker on the phone screen when trying to take a photo. I had to take a video and then take a screenshot of the video when everything was lite up perfectly.

Haha I've had to do that as well. Have to adjust the frame rate of the camera to prevent that!

Oh so it really is a little orange

In person the color seems to match perfectly. They don’t seem orange at all.

I was in the dealership the other day having my front sensors reset because they were going off for no reason. All the guys at the dealership really liked the lights, including a customer who I gave a stingerforum business card ;). Kia should definitely have these as an add on option!

Ohhhh ok.... thank you soooo much Nick, K8 and the others I forgot to mention......

Mine stopped working. The sequential aspect of it is gone on one of them.
Oh noooooooo!!!!!!! Are you gonna get it checked out or replaced??

When I installed these today, they didn't seem to sit quite as flush as the OEM reflectors. It's not a huge deal, as you really have to be on the ground looking up to be able to tell. But they work and look great.

Anyone else have that problem? In all honesty, I didn't check to see if there was extra glue I needed to trim off before trying to pop them in, so that might be it. Just haven't really seen anyone mention this before.

I installed my new replacement set yesterday. I thought the same thing for a second, but as long as the “V” clip goes all the way in you are good to go. You’ll never even thing about it again after a few weeks anyway.

I don't think I was quite able to get the v clip all the way in, but the tab on the end is in the screw on the other end is in all the way, so they aren't going anywhere. Will always just be in the back of my OCD brain. Oh well!

I will be painting my exhaust tips soon, so when those are off I might revisit trying to get them seated properly.

Thanks for the reply!

So a couple of questions on these now that I have them.

1. Mine has a green wire instead of blue, can I assume they are the same, I have red, black, yellow, and green. Or is this one of those things where some people see green and some see blue :)
2. Before I take my car apart anyone know what colors are what on my tail lights I have a 2019 GT2. (need both driver side and passenger side)
3. The Last question is anyone tap into a ground wire on the connector instead of the hard-to-reach bolt? If you did what color wire is that? (need both driver side and passenger side)

Any chance of these coming to 22+?
Yes, we are having them custom-made now and will open up pre-orders on the website within the next week or so. Please feel free to follow through email if you would like to pre-order in advance.

My second set of these stopped working again around the 10 month mark. I had to disconnect a few wires because they only kind of work when braking, but still sucks because one of the LEDs on the left reflector blinks on and off….so it kind of looks like I’m signaling to turn left. The circuitboard board is very very cheaply connected, and LEDs will begin to short out eventually. Just make sure you check these reflectors monthly because they have a short shelf life….and you’ll look like a blinking idiot on the road without knowing it!

My passenger side stopped working about 48 hours after it was installed.

I’m sorry to hear that, despite what others may say that sell this product, the manufacturer has re-designed the LEDs and the circuitboard since we first started selling it. Specifically to improve on the design and reduce the defects that can occur down the line after installing them.

The newest version we sell has fewer defects then the past, but….. Many customers that order this product live in areas with extreme weather conditions where there is lots of snow and salt on the roads. If caution isn’t taken when installing the product to ensure the circuitboard is placed in an area that it doesn’t get exposed to the outside weather conditions, like salt and snow, then it can corrode on the circuitboard and once the wires get corroded, many times they get disconnected from the circuitboard itself. Good thing is, the manufacturer sent us some additional circuit boards so that we don’t need to replace the entire unit if the circuitboard fails. Regardless, we’re sorry for the hassle and inconvenience.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Many times if one of the side stops working 24-48 hours after it’s installed, there’s a reason for that. The product is thoroughly tested to make sure it works properly before it’s shipped out, however, the wires are very thinly soldered onto the circuit board from the manufacturer, and many times during the installation, one of the wires can pull loose from the circuitboard. If that’s not the case, please reach out to us through email, and we will get it handled for you.

I don't think that's the case in my situation, the brake light function of it and the constant on part is what's acting up. The blinker part works fine. It's actually causing my brake light itself to act weird it's kind of partially on. No one I've spoken to has ever seen that happen so I've just disconnected it for now until I can decide if I'm going to try to fix it and keep it on or get rid of them and just take the loss on what I paid for it.

Yeah my second set had the new LED board, but I still have a couple LEDs that flicker when you hold down the brake, which means they will all fail at some point. The circuitboard boards aren’t protected that well, so unless you live in the desert with zero humidity, these circuitboards will get corroded in less than a year.

That is strange, I would double check the wiring to make sure that there is no areas that might have come loose, and in worst case scenario, we can always just replace the circuitboard for you under warranty if it is still within the 12 month warranty period. Whatever you decide, don’t hesitate to reach out to us through email to get it taken care of.

I think we can all agree that everything will eventually fail at one point. However, I would have to agree to disagree with you on the assessment that these will all get corroded in less than a year unless you live in the desert with zero humidity, that is completely faults. We have customers that have been running this for several years without any issues whatsoever. We also sell around 10 to 15 sets per month every month for quite some time now so there are tons of these out there without any issues. However, as I mentioned to the other member, if you are under warranty, reach out through email and we can replace the circuitboard for you free of charge.
