• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Used Kia Stinger GT Purchase guidance

Legit, only reason I want to let mine go is so I can build another muscle car...

But I won't give it away it's too good a vehicle.

I have Limited garage space.

Is it a Kia Dealer? Doesn't matter that much as it has the new car warranty still. Fully transferable to new owner for remainder of 7 years. Capped price servicing as well. Check the Kia website
I got my car today .
Got it inspected by car mechanic too. He gave it a thumbs up.
Loved it when driving all day from Melb to Syd.

Then at night when I switched on the headlights… it really concerned me that the right side was having kind of a darker patch as if the light wasn’t working well and couldn’t drive properly.
The left was fine.
Attaching photo.

Anyone - any ideas what this is and why ?

Something’s not right with the driver side headlight.
It’s not going as far as passenger side does making driving at night very difficult.
Creates sort of a Z shape, with the top of Z formed by passenger side headlight (goes further) & the bottom of Z being formed by driver side headlight

Not sure but next I drive at night I will have a look. It looks pretty normal to me. Headlights are never even they light up the curb more on the left. The right obviously has oncoming traffic....RHD. Also you will panic when they are on Hi Beam because they tend to light up the tree tops as well.

There have been posts on that in the past. I think you are looking for problems. If the car hasn't been crashed I presume the lights are where the factory put them....

Hopefully got it inspected by the RACV.....if it was from a Kia Dealer I wouldn't have bothered. It's under factory warranty anyway.

I have two cars that are identical except colour,. If they are both the same I will let you know.

Thanks heaps mate.
I saw this as a very weird problem that I have never experienced before and was very limiting in terms of drivability , hence shared here.
Will be interesting to see how your's go .
Attaching 2 photos to show what happening , one outlined the beam reflection in red.

Looks normal to me even for conventional headlights.

They are always different each side.

How is everything else travelling? You will find it a good two to three months to get on top of everything.

When you work your way thru the vehicle settings you will find various things set or unset. Setting auto front camera for example as you drive into a space........linking climate control to your steering wheel and seat ventilation/heating.....it takes a while to work out how the algorithm works. (nothing in the online manual). I presume you have grabbed that. Search Kia Stinger GT Manual Australia and download it. 575 pages 2023 686 pages 2022. I think...

Don't bother starting the car, Just have it in the ON position when playing with the settings. The battery discharge is irrelevant

I believe the driver's side light should be aimed lower so as to not blind oncoming traffic, with the passenger's side aimed higher.

It's a bit hard to tell how far out the beam cutoff is from your car. Here in the states the rule-of-thumb is that the light cutoff for low-beams should be about 200' (~61m) from the front of your car--with the high-beams reaching further. The driver's side for the low-beams should be aimed lower. Not sure what Australia's laws are. Your's could be aimed too low--it's hard to tell.

I think there are examples of how to aim your headlights in your other thread.

This is my MY23 Stinger last night. Its factory set. No adjustments. Low Beam. High beam lit the end of the street. Not shown.

The lights do move around when they first come on then settle in position.

Remember they are supposed to adjust for extra passengers in the back.

Maybe they are aiming a little higher than yours. I was pointing down hill at the time commencing the drive just as the headlights settled. If you zoom in the pattern is very similar.

Yep the same curve. But I believe your light height is still better than mine.
Thanks so much for sharing this.

Your car may have had a headlight changed. They are AUD$6000 each by the way. I haven't but I know the price!
There is some adjustment advice there.
