Theres no way they can price them at $60K + just adding the 360 cam and wireless charger .................Interesting article, and honestly a great marketing answer full of crap. Of course the future "special edition" Stinger will include the missing features....because the car will then cost over $60K. The camera and wireless tech are a big deal to me, especially since it's available on their lessor models...even the new 2019 Forte and nearly every car >50K today.
A lot of money goes to NCAA, PGA, promotional pricing, super bowl marketing etc, and longest warranties worldwide
Excellent point , we only get 5 years in Canada !I'm hardly defending KMA...because the absence of the 360 cam really burns me...but I think the warranty in particular is likely a big cost differentiator for this market.

QUESTION ! Would the Americans forego an extra year of warranty to get all the goodies and a 5K reduction in price ??
disagree. If that's true Kia must have no confidence in the drivetrain if they think they need $10k to cover an extra 40k miles. Especially because it is not transferrable, so only the first owner even qualifies. It is just a money grab pure and simple. I for one would gladly take the industry standard 60k miles if they knocked 10k off the price of the car.I'm hardly defending KMA...because the absence of the 360 cam really burns me...but I think the warranty in particular is likely a big cost differentiator for this market.
Oh, I agree just adding the 360 camera, wireless charging and rear heated seats won't push a GT2 AWD from $52,300 to $60K+; but the name "special edition" implies more.... And if I were a betting man, a "special edition" would likely include some new color options and the most common SEMA items like the intakes, exhaust. These would easily make the bean counters at KMA think they could "TRY" and market a $60K car.Theres no way they can price them at $60K + just adding the 360 cam and wireless charger .................
I most definitely would. I doubt I'll keep the car longer than 3 years anyway.Excellent point , we only get 5 years in Canada !

Amen thanks for power mirrors .Definitely not a deal breaker for me either - however, I do like to park as close as I can to the curb - to keep away from door dings done by the moron who parks next to me. So that surround view camera does help me out...
