What's going on boys. I just purchased a 3.3L TT Kia Stinger GT. Was thinking about the following:

K&N Air Intake
MBRP Catback Exhaust
JB4 Kia Tuner with Bluetooth

I'm limiting it to these to avoid voiding my warranty. I was told by the dealer catback exhaust and air intake wouldn't void the warranty. If I have to take it in, I was just planning on removing the Jb4.

Can you guys provide any feedback on this course of action? Pro's Con's etc.

Thanks

Tom

I highly suggest new spark plugs! when I first purchased my stinger I went in the same route kinda. injen air intake and some hks spark plug with the jb4. can't go wrong with these babies!

Howdy. Are you a straight lines guy or a curves guy? Sway bars upgrade changes the car's feel and steering feedback on the twisties. :D

Tom, I've had a 2018 GT1 for 2years now and have just finished similar upgrades. I used the K&N Intake system, ARK downpipes, Borla exhaust and Race Chip engine management system. HP went from 342 wheel to 418 wheel and torque went from 387 ft lb to 500 ft lb. Also added Whitline front and rear sway bars to improve handling. The work was don by JoTech Motorsports of Garland Texas. They have been building my cars for 25 years so you know I trust them. Took it out last Sunday on some twisty back country roads in North Texas and it was superb. The power was phenomenal and handling great. Not as quite as good as my 1000hp Nissan GTR but darn close. The nice thing about the Race Chip system is that it bypasses the stock EMS and when you disconnect it there is no record of it ever being on the car. Hope this helps.

For the JB4, gapping the plugs is a must.

Second the spark plug suggestion. Forgot to mention when I upgraded I also changed the plugs and re gapped the new ones.

I just ordered the injen cold air intake and the jb4 with the Bluetooth option.

Hopefully, it will be worth it.

I am prob gonna add exhaust on there some time as well.

I have the Injen CAI and MBRP exhaust, you won't be disappointed. A plus is that the MBRP exhaust fits perfectly my mechanic told me that usually he has to adjust things or fight it but he said the MBRP went right on. Apparently some others for the Stinger don't fit quite as well. The sound is fantastic though, from both the intake and the exhaust, I could never go back to stock.

oil catch cans aren't bad also! I don't recommend the ADD W1 branded oil catch cans tho! you need to route it a bit differently with the injen air intakes.

Is the GT1 the 4 cyl or the 6?

Be sure to get the fuel wires along with the JB4. That is borderline a requirement.

Be warned: the JB4 can be a rabbit hole of wonderment, both for you and your credit card. As you discover more possibilities that the JB4 can offer, you are going to be tempted to buy this bolt on and that upgrade. It can be a lot of fun but expensive in the long run. Take your time learning, checking out the forum posts both here and on the n54tech site Kia & Hyundai Turbo - N54Tech.com - International Turbo Racing Discussion, and planning your experiments. Searching and researching before you ask a question can go a long way. I always take the position that what I am thinking or seeing has been seen before. JB4 support is also a great resource when you get in a bind. Enjoy the ride!

Honestly i just want 400+ hp and torque. I plan on getting exhaust after this initial purchase but that’s probably it.
