So I'm flipping through the brochure and I notice that gt1 and GT2 have "electronic control suspension". My question is what is "electronic control suspension"? And why doesnt my GT have it??

it means it is equipped Adjustable with adjustable dampening struts. They adjust depending on the driving mode you have the car on.

^^^This, firms or softens the dampening depending on the mode. It’s noticeable on longer drives. Still not as firm on Sport as needed.

So if I can adjust it with the driving mode that means I have an electronic control suspension?

No, changing the drive modes without the adjustable suspension only changes the throttle responses, transmission and maybe fuel mapping (not exactly sure in this)...if you have the adjustable suspension it will change with the modes, too.

The suspension is noticeably softer in comfort mode with it IMHO

It does change. The suspension is stiffer when I go to sport and softer when it's in comfort.

Mayyyybe you have the adjustable suspension... just not listed. I dunno.

If you have a GT then your car is not equipped with adjustable suspension. Only GT1 and GT2 came with that option.

Ok so now I'm confused. Can someone explain what is an electronic control suspension and what it does? If it's not part of the drive mode ie eco/sport/comfort.

My understanding of the electronic control suspension is in the form of dampening adjustment. These are not magnetorheological dampers which have the capability of changing the fluid viscosity to control dampening characteristic. Instead, the dampers have adjustable valving by varying the size of the orifice by the way of a solenoid. The information on the suspension suggests that it utilizes sensors which, I'm guessing, are yaw, pitch, roll, lateral, and longitudinal in order to adjust the valving. This way, the ride can be, relatively, soft in the straight and yet during heavy cornering the outboard dampers can be stiffened to control body roll. Some kind of not-so-old school active suspension yet it's behind the expensive "magnetic ride".

The magnetic rides are AMAZING.

Back on topic, as stated above that is where I notice a difference, the body roll in a curve is reduced. I would still like it a little more planted (sway bars), but that gives everyone room to customize their experience.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, while you can tell it adjusts, it isn't all that much. If there was a sport+ mode where it got even stiffer it would be worth it.

Not worried about it too much. It's like buying something and knowing you have that feature or you dont. It suck cause all this time I've telling everybody it has electronic control suspension then to find out I dont.lol
