Does anyone know what the two seams going down each side of the roof are called? I bought the car (second owner) about two months ago and just noticed one of the seems has cracks throughout it. Would like to know what this piece is to talk to kia about it.

Like "rocker panels", I learned the term for those on here: "Drip Rails", forget all other terms. They are steel sheathed in a rubberized coating and then painted; the cracking is a fairly common topic of discussion on here. I think it is mostly weathering, i.e. the car gets a lot of baking time outdoors.

My Stinger is the Micro Blue and they are "drip rails". Mine did the same thing in less than a year and I purchased my car brand new!!

Showed them to the service dept while getting oil changed and they replaced them (warranty). Had to give them the car for a day but I have new drip rail molding now.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I’ll take it into the dealer and see if I can get them fixed. Thanks y’all. I had no idea
