Do they? Didnt get to see the photos wouldn't load for me

If so then yeah replace.
So replacement would be my best option? Any thoughts on the turbos I posted ? Correct ones ?

Op keep driving and as above suggested, change back to oem filters.

You mentioned you don't see any loss in power etc
I mean I’m driving the vehicle as of now because it’s my daily but taking it very easy. I would rather handle this situation now and not later as something else could go wrong.

They just looked gently sandblasted to me
Kia and my local guys said they needed to be replaced. Local guys - lap3 boys in my area

Okay works.

Hmm.. first photo is grainy, second one seems alright. Needs proper air. They don't look like some piece(s) got into them though. They just look tired to me.

Turbos are gonna be a pretty penny regardless but trying to see how you can work around it.

I’m scared something else will go wrong. Want to take care of this now

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Another option is to rebuild the center sections. Will be lot cheaper. But in this case i would be worrying about labor cost lot more, than parts cost. Are you gonna replace them by yourself or have a shop doing it?
Robby big turbo has a garage not to far from me. He works a lot with David Chung from lap3 so they said they would give a helping hand in installing the turbos

I know. Especially if youre going to tune later down the road with anything, logical thing is to replace.
Exactly . I do want to tune down the line (lap3 1.5) but first is making sure everything is working correctly.

I’m new to this whole replacement of turbos so any insights is much appreciated whether replacement or new but leaning more towards new to have peace of mind

Time for the fanciest beer and the best pizza in town.

Are the turbos I mentioned good for replacement ?
They look to be kia factory replacement. So should be good. Try to call them to make sure.

So I was able to purchase some stock turbos from Mr. Mark Russell (fastest stock turbo). He’s upgrading to the hybrid turbos. Only 20k miles on the stock turbos and it’s a night and day difference compared to mines currently. $850 for the set and having mark pick up my car to take to Robby’s garage to knock this project out in a day as well as my afe intakes. Super relived and stoked. Just giving an update and informing the forum of Mark Russell and Robby big turbo who look out for the stinger community in ways I can’t imagine. If your local in the Washington DC, Va , Md area the stinger support and community is wonderful . Since I will be installing mark russell turbos will I be the fastest stock stinger now lol jk. Thankful and blessed to continue to meet fellow stinger enthusiasts. Go check out marks build over on fb lap3 and in the different Kia groups on fb. Genuinely just wants to help you out as well as Robby and David .

Dang, that's great! Here's hoping I can get half as good a deal if I ever need this!

Wow, I just saw this thread. I am so sorry for you. This is one reason I try to stay away from buying hot, fast, or muscle type cars used unless they are classics ( you expect alot of work has been done on them). Anyhow, I have the AEM dry air filters in the stock air filter boxes on my stinger. Now I am a little stressed about it. I guess I will go back to the oem filters for peace of mind .

Check out the entire thread. I had purchased a used stinger back in Feb and come to find it was modified . Ecu sitting crooked upon inspection and turbos whose blades were dull . The dealership or Kia didn’t cover it so went my own route and with support and help from the forum and friends close was able to get a used set of turbos and installation done. The forum was saying aftermarket panel filters in particular Aem can cause poor filtration for the turbos. Not sure if that was my case since my car is used but just grateful to have this situation sorted

I am guessing, turbos were replaced without pulling the engine out, right? How long did it take?
