Just noticed an unusual sound from my Stinger GT2 AWD when it is coasting. It sounds like a baseball card stuck in the spokes of a bike. It does it in neutral as well. Power seems to make it go away. I had the whole front end up and looked for flapping, rocks, sticks, etc. I shook all the suspension parts and both sides seemed identical. Going to make an appointment at the dealer to have it looked at but wondered if anyone else had any ideas?

I have the same noise starts at 27mph! that's how i described it like a playing card clipped to a bike wheel, removed all the pans under car thought one was flapping drove with no pans noise still there, i think it is a air pressure problem same as when you open the rear window at speed and you get air buffeting, my dealer cant find it, i noticed my front door wasn't lined up 2 weeks ago, after it was adjusted noise seems to have reduced but still there, so still looking

Mine does this on and off. Check the rocker panels to make sure they are firmly clicked into place.

When you say rocker panels is that what we call the sills under the doors ? if so they're ok.

Yes, the sills, but check from underneath the car and push up to make sure they click into position. Also make sure there’s no gap between the sill and the body.

Thanks will check soon as it stops raining lol.

Just got back from the dealership. Right now they think its the front AWD transfer case. They swapped out drive shafts with another and the sound is still there. So waiting on KIA to approve the warranty work and get it fixed.

We don't have AWD in the UK, but interested to see if they solve the problem, i know the Genesis had drive shaft noises same as what we seem to have, please let me now how you get on.

Well Techline has kicked it back and wants to inspect the fluid levels and fluid. They also want to do a video inspection. I can understand some troubleshooting, but the time and effort I'm having to put out tracking this all down and dealing with it is super annoying...

Seem to work different here if kia says do it !! the dealer does

Well its KIA kicking back is what they are saying. Same thing happened when our 2017 Soul threw a rod. 8 weeks later the car was never the same.

Dealer checked fluid levels and did an inspection. KIA techline finally approved the transfer case replacement. But of course its back ordered....
