Howdy, more than just "a thread", there is a plethora of "trunk thunk" threads: along with threads on the other extraneous noises. Most have solutions of varying types, from tape to washers to replacement (in the case of sunroof noises), or even just putting your fist hard against the headliner (in the case of ceiling noises). Yours is the most common complaint with the most ready fixes. Read on, not-so-young Grasshopper.
