Incorrect. Maybe with tuned cars in drag race conditions. Otherwise RWD is slightly faster and has better gas mileage (slightly too). On top of increased weight, AWD models have more drive train loss (about 20~30hp less at the wheels) then RWD ones.
From what's been stated here in the 0-60, etc. threads, the AWD definitely out-accelerates the RWD. When the RWD catches up and passes the AWD is the question.

Not true the GT2 AWD is 4147 look at motortrend review they weigh all vehicles. Also savage geese on YouTube puts gt2 AWD on the scale he got 4147 lol. The base GT is 4023 they just use that as there weight for all GTs which is not true. Idk weight of GT1. But GT2 is significantly heavier than base GT over 120lbs. Probaably the most from sunroof n then radar n shit.
