If the car is in drive and I paddle shift it will stay in the last chosen gear and not automatically return to D If I push the shifter to the left for manual and back then it will return to D so it hangs up in auto position not returning to auto operation D, looking like I'm going to need dealer service.

damn I wish mine did that....but I have the electronic shifter.

you can also press and hold the + paddle and it will go back to drive.

That's the problem pressing the + paddle shifter it doesn't return to Drive
Unless I push the shifter to the left for manual and back then it returnes to Drive

Sounds more like an interface issue rather than a transmission issue. The transmission can only do what it is told, and something is not telling.

So it will return to Drive when stopped just now when moving like before

In manual gate? Or in Sport and "D" using the paddles? The first condition should never happen. The second condition is completely normal.
