You will be running out of dealers by the sound of it.This is the 2nd! Lol. Maybe 3rd time lucky you think?
I'll be driving a loan car from Monday...again, whilst they pretend to fix something they have no idea how to fix and we will keep dancing this stupid dance for the next 5 years until warranty runs out. Lol.On the bright side, I’ve found a plus to driving a rental car that already has dings and scratches pre-installed.
I‘m no longer scared of supermarket car parks!
My shitbox is now the shitbox that I would never park next to. For the next week or so I’m car park proof. I can park wherever I want!
So it's your sunroof which is the problem is it?I'll be driving a loan car from Monday...again, whilst they pretend to fix something they have no idea how to fix and we will keep dancing this stupid dance for the next 5 years until warranty runs out. Lol.
Sure is.So it's your sunroof which is the problem is it?
You should get them to detail (in writing) exactly what was done to "rectify". Blacktown?I'll be driving a loan car from Monday...again, whilst they pretend to fix something they have no idea how to fix and we will keep dancing this stupid dance for the next 5 years until warranty runs out. Lol.
Yeah Shannon. It's Blacktown. They give me a statement of repairs each time but nothing they are doing is making even the slightest difference. I'm over leaving my car for days on end to have to rebook it again over and over for the same issue. You should get them to detail (in writing) exactly what was done to "rectify". Blacktown?
West coast GT had his whole sunroof replaced and it is all good now. Haven’t heard of any other full replacements on this forum. Just minor repairs like yours. Not that yours is fixed of course.Yeah Shannon. It's Blacktown. They give me a statement of repairs each time but nothing they are doing is making even the slightest difference. I'll push for it... I'm done with taking it in and having them pretend it's fixed. They don't even write the actual problem on the statement I just noticed. They play it down to make it look like it's something minor and that's what goes on my record. Not this time! They have pushed me too far.West coast GT had his whole sunroof replaced and it is all good now. Haven’t heard of any other full replacements on this forum. Just minor repairs like yours. Yes we do have lemon laws in australia, but a faulty sunroof is not going to qualify as a lemon.Do you guys have something resembling US lemon law down there?
I wouldn't call the noises minor.Lemon laws cover malfunctioning items. A sunroof that won't operate after miltiple repairs would be covered, minor noises are not.
Thanks. Me too. If they don't, I WILL be taking this further.Yes we do have lemon laws in australia, but a faulty sunroof is not going to qualify as a lemon.
Good luck with your repair FitR6. I hope they get it right this time.
Maybe if this problem was rare, they decided to replace your transmission entirely so someone at Kia HQ can analyse your failed one in more detail?
Just a wild guess. No idea if the industry works like that or not but that's what I'd be doing if I had a weird product failure in the field.
Fitr6 have you had any problems with new transmission?I just got my transmission replaced a couple weeks ago but for a different reason. The car was jolting on the downshift from 3rd to 2nd, and upon looking further discovered it doing something similar when upshifting in Sports drive mode. Funny that they said they couldn't reproduce the fault when they had it for 4 days (seems to be the go-to response) yet I told them to get in the car with me and reproduced it in the first 60 seconds. They kept it for another 2 weeks to replace the transmission. Almost 3 weeks without the car.
I'm having the same issue with my Stinger as far as the downshifting. Took it in and at first they said it would be a replacement. Then when I took it back for some 2 day assessment they tell me they can't reproduce the fault and would reset some computer or something for the transmission. Rides better but still noticeable rough downshifting. I'm taking it back once again at the 15k service. They are going to have to do something about this!!I just got my transmission replaced a couple weeks ago but for a different reason.
