No kidding.
Just out of curiosity, I did one of those on-line 'value your trade in' calculator things.
I did a couple of different sites (CarGurus, AutoTrader), as well as my Kia dealer site.
My Stinger is a 2023 GT Elite (Canada). Top of the line 3.3 AWD. It is a garage queen, and only has 2,200 miles on it. I've never even driven it in the rain.
I've done a fair number of cosmetic
mods on it as some of you may have seen in my posts.
The valuations varied from $34,000 to $37,000. That is absolute criminal.
I paid MSRP at the time, which was $53,500 last year. I didn't purchase any other add-ons and managed to get free window tint at the time.
I've seen similar cars to mine with higher mileage listed close to $50,000. One 2023 Tribute edition was listed at close to $60,000.
Just as a comparison, I sold my 2017 Mazda 6 earlier this year. Only had 42,000 kms on it (26,000 miles in 6 years).
I took it to my Mazda dealer as they offer "great cash deals"... and they offered $13,000 for it. They later upped it to $14,000. Comparable retail listings varied from $21,000 to $24,000. Unreal. I sold it to a Nissan dealer for $18,600.
