I looked online and couldn't find any information on it yet. Has anyone gone to a dealership and gotten a trade in value for your stinger? I love mine, not looking to trade it in. But I am still so upset I couldn't get a yellow gt2 at a good price.

If you want yellow then get it. Everyone has their price and I can't tell you what yours is unfortunately. Just know that from a pure numbers stand point you stand to lose quite a bit of money.

If you really want yellow have you considered a vinyl wrap? You could even get a color nobody else has if you want.

Black book has trade in values already for the Stinger. Not sure how true to reality they are though, they look a bit low.

Standard fare for KIA I'm guessing regardless if it's a Stinger or not...

What is the cost for a full wrap

Costs run all over the place. I've seen YouTube videos saying costs vary due to size, material, and complexity of the trim on the car.
In one video it ranged form 2k to 10k.

Not a problem, I'm a huge fan of vinyl wraps and plasti dip. It's probably one of the first things I'll do to my Stinger when I get one :)

The guy that gave me this business card quoted me $2,500 for a full car in a color changing wrap, I'd think a little cheaper for a flat color.

I love the color but I couldn't justify paying 1k over sticker especially when they added 2k worth of dealer add ons. I think it was close to 400 for wheel locks?

Another dealer offered me a gt2 in black for a little under 48k compared to the nearly 54 that dealer wanted for yellow. I am very happy with my purchase and don't plan on trading it in. But just out of curiosity I was seeing what the values were looking like. I see that I'll only lose 1k with my 6 month old lexus.

And I just may look into vinyl wrapping. Even at 3k is still cheaper than the factory yellow.

If your dealer is charging $400 for a set of wheel locks that are listed on the options page at less than $100, I would never darken that door again. They are thieves and that demonstrates their attitude towards their customers -- fleece them in any way they can.

Buy the car, not the color.

Exactly why I traveled 2 hours to an honest dealership. My local dealership I went to wouldn't even let me test drive the car because it was in the showroom. So you want me to put down 5k right now but I can't even drive it? Then proceeded to give me the speech about how so many people have been asking about the car and coming to see it. It's limited. You won't find another. I would put that deposit down now, it'll probably sell tomorrow if not. It's been 2 months, still sitting in the showroom.

Versus the dealership two hours away with a much smaller population. Sold evrry stinger from the first shipment in a week.

I did the same thing -- bought from the 3rd dealer 55 miles away who gave me the best deal and didn't try to load the car up with stuff I didn't want at exorbitant prices.

Don't shoot the messenger but, Kia North America product planner Orth Hendrick just said:

"Hendrick is looking at making the yellow a production run color."

Just for fun I asked. Your looking at anywhere from 8 to 10k loss if you sell your stinger now. Kias quality might have gone up a lot. But their resale is still terrible I see.

This is an adverse pricing. The reason is clear if you think about it. A 2018 car sold as "used" has been USED. Probably either a wreck rebuild or a demo that had the living hell driven out of it, or a repossession from some kid who couldn't afford it and hot rodded it to death until they came and took it away. Those early used cars are a huge red flag which is why the price drops so far. Some of them may have voided warranties as well.

I'm actually contemplating a trade to a GT1 from a GT for the adaptive suspension. May just ask when I drop by for a test drive of the GT1/GT2. But I have no high hopes if it will even be something sensible to do due to the value impact.
