Touchscreen replacement (from 2018 to 2019 )

I am wondering if the new 2019 touchscreen would fit in the 2018 Stinger ?

As long as you replace it with the same size screen, it should be a plug and play job.

For access to the mounting of the touchscreen you have to remove the center crash pad. Not so easy.
But to get an frameless screen will be more problematic (or money does not matter...)

Is the borderless actually bigger also or just different in styling?

I don´t know exactly, but the connectors and the mounting screws are the same. And "normaly" the base are also.

Yes the border less screen on the 2019 looks more modern than the one in the 2018.

If I'm going through the hassle of replacing the infotainment screen, then I'd rather do some retrofitting and put on the new 10.25" widescreen, assuming it's compatible. Seems wrong that the new Soul has such luxury features and the Stinger doesn't. Maybe with a refresh the Stinger will start to incorporate all this new tech, like the blind spot monitors.

I want to do it. I just don’t want to spend $400 on the ones listed on eBay just to find out I still have to take it to the dealer so they can “program” it.
Really hoping it’s plug and play

Different regions come with different options. Check the flags under the posters' names.

I've never heard of a crash pad in this context, but I found a half-dozen unexplained references in the owner's manual, mostly recommending nothing shiny be placed on it. Is this just a synonym for dashboard?
