Tork Tune

Right now I'm using the JB4 with the CA91 Low boost tune from Tork. I'm using Map6 to control boost and jb4 as a data logger. Its a nice setup and hopefully will be meth/cpi controller in the near future.

I have had the Tork tune on the car for about 23,000 miles and the car has performed flawlessly. I have
a spare ecu. It takes 5 minutes to swap out. No issues at the dealership!
How much was a second ECU? Also did you have the original ECU tuned or the second one? Is a new ECU just plug and play, or, did you have to take it to the dealership so they could unlock it and VIN match it?

f*ck a second ECU :) If they wanna prove I've tuned my car there are modules on the car that I can't change easily.... So just had my primary ecu flashed.

And Tork can clone ECUs now and think they are around $500.
I tuned the stock one.

Sorry noob here, what does it mean that they can clone one?
They can copy your ecu so it works semmlessly in your car. Tune the clone and keep the original as is.

How would that work, wouldn't there be a discrepancy in the ECU's reported mileage and other things?

But do you care if they void your warranty? I want the Tork tune but would like to keep my warranty haha. Tork has said that they can see that the ECU has been swapped with the mileage gap, so even if you plan on doing the swap thing they can detect it? Maybe they can detect that you swapped ECUs but that doesnt neccesarily mean they see that you used a tune. Maybe somebody is weird and likes to swap between two ECUs haha;)

Kia doesnt and wont simply "VOID ALL YOUR WARRANTY" Simply doesnt work that way
Warranty is broken up into pieces
Lets say you change your springs and your radio stops working
Kia doesnt VOID YOUR WARRANTY of your radio because of your springs
but if your shocks blow then those would not be covered under warranty
But the rest of your cars warranty remains intact

Tuning your ECU doesnt void your warranty. They can however deny a warranty claim if the tuned ecu caused the fault/issue

Inquiring into a tork tune for my Stinger 3.3 GT2 RWD. The only mods I have done are tork intakes, HKS M45iL plugs, and RaceChip. With the RaceChip in the highest Map 7 and my car running on high octane fuel my horsepower/torque is 400hp/500 lb-ft. Looking to increase these numbers as well as my 0-60 in 4.31s and 1/4 mile @ 113.80mph/12.3s, however I would like to avoid going full exhaust and FMIC, as in Cali full exhaust is not legal and the cost is prohibitive. I heard from Tonkabob a while back that you were working on a more aggressive tune that only required intakes and plugs. Is that available and what are the numbers with that tune? If you can provide dyno test results, even better.

Submitted request via damnfastdd website and reached out to sales@tork and waiting for response.

Spoke to John and he mentioned they are running into an issue with the tune and not sure if they are pushing too much boost. They are right around 21psi. He mentioned they should have this resolved in about a month and will post, once addressed. He mentioned their will be a Stage 1+ for my config.

If your wanting to stack I do suggest asking for a lower boost level, Maybe ask for the map I'm using as it works better with the jb4

If you have 92 or better i dont think stacking is worth the effort. 91 for sure. On 93 you can easily hit max boost or torque (what ever the current limits are) and there is little room to add boost. Even in the cold when boost drops, the tq limits are still right there. I'm able to add 1.5 psi only at 6000 rpm and higher. Adds 1 mph and dops 1/4 by .05. May sell the box after winter if i don't do wmi but the logging is nice.

There are many more but few on this forum and the ones on here don't post.
Hi Tonkabob,
I just talked with John and within the next week, I will send my ECU to TOrk for his Stage 1 finalized tune , and have it put on a spare ECU , that gives me two different ECU s tuned , I am hoping with the mods I have to get somewhere in the 400 to 415 Awd whp :) as I still have the primary cats on !
