Hey guys, I'm interested in the Tork tune, does anyone know if they can bench flash one of their spare ecus, and then let me purchase their ecu+tune, instead of sending in my ecu?

You could have just PM'd us Directly on here on, FB, or Instagram. Or called. But to answer your question we will still need your ECU so we can Vin match it to your vehicle. If we dont you will have a vin mismatch CEL

I messaged John on FB and I message one of the emails on your site and still havent got a response lol. And ah okay but would I be able to switch out ECUs by myself before going to the dealer? Or would I have to keep sending it back to you guys?

Message the business page for fastest response And if you get the spare you can switch it out when ever you want.

Does anybody have two ecus that they swap out with no issues?

I'll piggyback off this thread.

How does the two ECU thing work? Let's assume I get a tune, on a cloned ECU and then need to go in for maintenance. So I swap the tuned ECU for my stock ECU, wouldn't Kia be able to tell that I've swapped the ECU because there would be months, or even years of logs missing from the stock ECU?

I've taken mine to the dealer twice with a tuned ecu, intakes, exhaust, big fmic. They never said a word. Subaru would ask if i had a tune every time i took it in. Always waranty stuff. Don't go to the dealer otherwise.

But do you care if they void your warranty? I want the Tork tune but would like to keep my warranty haha. Tork has said that they can see that the ECU has been swapped with the mileage gap, so even if you plan on doing the swap thing they can detect it? Maybe they can detect that you swapped ECUs but that doesnt neccesarily mean they see that you used a tune. Maybe somebody is weird and likes to swap between two ECUs haha;)

I still want this tune knowing that though haha. Can we have everyone that has Tork tune share their experiences on warranty and dealership visits.

There are many more but few on this forum and the ones on here don't post.

Just curious what quantity would constitute "many more"? Another 10? 50? 250? 1000? It's ok if you want to be somewhat vague, but I'd like to get some idea. I see you on here, and about 2 or 3 on facebook..

I have had the Tork tune on the car for about 23,000 miles and the car has performed flawlessly. I have
a spare ecu. It takes 5 minutes to swap out. No issues at the dealership!

I dont think they check the ECU unless they really need to, if your engine or transmission fails, they might check into that. Then we will know for sure if they can see the swapping. But seems like everyone is doing great on Torks tune.

There you have it. Never seen xjtgtx post. I've talked or chatted with probably 8 that i know of and several months back John said two dozen.
Ultimate Performance, fmic, exhaust manufacturer run the Tork tune.

Spare ECU coming, I will soon have the Tork Tune. Now do I get even better performance using that with a Jb4 or Lap3?

The JB4 is compatible with the factory flash map or any flash map you want to run. Since there is so much variance between flash maps right now first step is to email me a JB4 log on map0 so I can see what your flash looks like and then suggest tuning changes for more power from there. Be sure to also mention the fuel being used and all mods.
