I have been thinking up upgrading my car. I have a 2019 GT AWD now and I am thinking of getting a new 2023 GT2 RWD while there are some still available. Any thoughts.

Big differences between GT and GT2. Do you want those features enough to upgrade? Will you miss AWD? Will the sunroof rattle make you wish you were dead??

Is the sunroof rattle that bad? I will not miss AWD since I have only driven my Stinger about 5000 miles for the 6 winters I have had it. I drive my second car mostly in the winter. The one thing that I might miss is the heated steering wheel, but my winter car has all those goodies.

Recently traded in a 2018 gt2 AWD for 2022 gt2 RWD

After driving both, the RWD seems to have a little more pep but the AWD feels much safer when you step on it. Overall I'd take the AWD but I'm definitely happy with the car. My sunroof doesn't rattle, but it did very badly in my 2018. The sound system and my aftermarket exhaust drowned it out though.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Depends on how long you plan on keeping the car. That upgrade is gonna cost you a bit. If you are just gonna trade it in in a couple of years, then it might not be worth it. OTOH, if this will be a keeper for at least another 4-5yrs, then go for it.

We have a '19 and just bought a '23. Newer car is nice for sure, but we are keeping both. Otherwise, it's really not worth then expenditure... for us anyway. Some folks just like to drive brand new cars every couple of years and are willing to pay for it. Really no right or wrong answer.

I wouldn’t do it personally. You’ve already got the GT. The GT2 offers some nice comforts, but not worth the update price. To me anyway. Save up for your next sports car.

Huh?

I have a 2020 gt, it has the 3.3tt. It actually felt a little bit quicker than both the gt1 and gt2 I test drove back when I was buying it. At least on the "butt dyno" I know the gt is a tiny bit lighter so it coulda been that. Engine is the same though. I thought about doing this about a year or two after buying my car. I wanted the sunroof really badly. I was hoping when the 2022 refresh dropped it would change the car for the better and that would be a reason to upgrade. 2022+ is basically the same car unfortunately, no big boost in power, exterior is same except for the tail lights, which are better imo.

If the money isn't an issue than just get whatever car you want.

Probably the only model I'd upgrade for would be the grand tourer model. I really like the suede/leather interior combo with the red stitching and red seat belts. It's got a different, better interior and all the exterior black bits of the scorpion without the hideous (imo) spoiler that I don't like. It's the best of both worlds imo, I'd definitely upgrade to that if I could find one new or with less miles than my car. My gt only has 21,800 on it currently though so probably not likely.

I was wrong, I thought the GT, lacking the 1 after it was the 2.5L 4-cylinder.

Thought I had already confessed my error. Don

If you can get the latest MY23 Stinger GT at the Kia Build my Car price then do it. It is 5 year later car with a significant number of features over a 2019 model including bigger in car screens, full width rear lighting, new badging etc.. You will have everything, a better warranty, and so on.

I don't know what you get there but they have a 7 year unlimited km factory warranty in Australia and I bought two which will probably be my last petrol cars. The last build of these cars was March 23 and only two left at dealerships in Australia so over there it will be close to running out as well.

Not sure what country the OP is from but in the US we get 10 years/100k from Kia.
