Sorry, this the second post, I really thought someone would answer the first one but no one has. I'm pretty confident that someone on this forum knows the answer. Kia Corporate was of no help at all. Have my doubts that the average Kia dealership salesperson will do any better.

When I scroll through the "pages" icon, the upper left button on the right side of the steering wheel, it used to show tire pressure at all 4 wheels. I have done nothing to the instrumentation since then that I'm aware of but the tire pressures do not display now.

Knowing the tire pressure before the TPMS squeals is desirable.

Any assistance someone can provide would be appreciated. Thanks, Don

is the page completely gone? or is it just not showing the pressures.

No pages showing tire pressures appear, nada, zip. Don't see any blank pages either. Don

Well, now that's embarrassing. I understand what you're saying, didn't know we owner's could do that, would have thought that was a dealer level action. Don

Not embarrassing.. if you didn't that wasn't the cause of course. I would either try and track down the fuses that control the tpms .. or just do the tried and true disconnect battery for 30 min then start it up.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Appreciate the suggestion. Don

I'm unsure what you are seeing (not seeing). The "page" hasn't vanished entirely, has it? You get to the TPMS page and the sensors are flat-lining, no numbers, just dashes? If that is the case, then all it takes is one sensor not sending, and the entire caboodle goes dead (stupid design, but it is what it is).

I see no empty pages but I don't see the page I used to see which as I said, had real time (I assume) pressures for 4 wheels. Don

So the page itself is missing. Show a pic.

I must not be communicating well. Scrolling through "pages", say there used to be x number of pages, now there are x minus 1 but no blank page appears where the page that used to show tire pressures was. Don

I hear you, but it's such an unusual issue. Isn't there a secondary function on the panel showing the tpms? You toggle between the two using the rocker switch.

So let’s all be on The same page.

There are the main “tabs” for lack of a better term…. Cycled with the button (not up/down toggle)…

Then in each “tab”, you use the up/down toggle for sub screens.

So you are saying you’ve looked at each sub screen of each tab?

Well, you're showing info I was not aware of, not surprising. No, I have apparently only accessed the main page.

Thanks nhcowboy28, I just went out and started the car, drove out, fumbled around and got the screen I wanted. Shut the car down and restarted it and the desired screen is still there.

Thanks to all.

There is one other thing I would like to do that I think can't be done at our level.

Cruise control in cars I've owned since I bought a brand new 85 Mustang GT were simple. You set a speed and off you went. If you went downhill it let gravity take over and your speed increased and as drag slowed the car on the flat road, cruise control kept you at the desired speed.

In my Stinger GT1 at least, if you are on cruise and start downhill the silly thing applies the brakes. I do not need that Nanny but I don't know how or if I can turn off that feature. Kia Corporate was not helpful regarding this issue.

But thanks again, I do like having the tire pressure screen. Don

Oh, I see: you're an even older Boomer than I am. :P Yes, non-intuitive, is the term I use learning all this information screen stuff. Start with the Gauges: you can cycle through Lap Counter, G Meter and Oil Temperature/Torque/Boost; the next page is the travel screens, which include (going off memory here) Fuel Economy, various mileage screens, digital MPH; then the compass (which turns into destination info if you are using the NAV), then the TPMS screen, and fifth is the options menus, which are only accessible in "P".

As for cruise control, it will only apply the brakes until the downhill grade exceeds a point, then it will take over and downshift to 5th gear and use engine braking (even if you are in manual gate).

Lots of subscreens. As for your 2nd paragraph, it's one powerful Nanny that I'd like to strangle. Don

^^You just cancel cruise control and resume on flat ground: two little clicks. :P

It shows the last page of the tab you were one when you shut off the car. If it resets for some reason (say disconnected the battery), then it defaults to a different page in the tab, and you need to scroll down to get to it.

Don, did you get your car new or used? If the latter (or former) did it come with all the manuals? There's lots of good info in there. Good throne reading material :)
